CorgiShinobi
I was thrilled when I was getting a few Eevees in a row, but you're out of luck when you don't have any more Pokeballs. There was even a Charmander when I was out, but thanks to no tracking or Pokevision, I couldn't find it. I didn't mind the Pidgey because I did need to evolve one to Pidegot, but you'd be surprised how even a Pidgey can give you trouble and you waste two or three Pokeballs on one of the most classically easy Pokemon. Mister Jack
I haven't seen any Eevees in over a week. Seriously, if they're going to spam a low level pokemon at me, I'd be a lot happier with Eevee since that eventually becomes something useful and there's actually a good reason to keep farming them. deanb
Having been to a chunk of places the last few weeks while I can be dull if you're in the same place all the time there's certainly a fair chunk of variation in the default pokemon in different areas. I went to a National Trust park the other day and there was a ton of clefairys everywhere and even showed up with a charmander now n then (and a decent chunk of stops and even a gym. Spread out but given the nature of the nature park it was nicely balanced out). Around my dads it's mainly weedles that are the common pokemon, with a fair few meowths n venonats on top. Then I got back home and right outside my house 3 pidgeys popped up n surrounded me. I actually spent a chunk of my saved up Play credit on getting a bag upgrade. Keep on top of your revives, raspberrys n outdated potions and you'll soon have a fair horde of pokemon balls. I guess it's local area permitting but you can usually sort out a walk that'll have you going past a loop of pokestops on a five minute basis n give an hour of walking should have more than enough of a build up. deanb
http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/08/09/new-pokemon-go-tracking-test-rolled-users/ They're rolling out a beta testing for a new "Nearby" system. You'll have seen the proto-version of it roll out in the past day with stuff now having a grass background on it. For those picked for the beta they'll have the grass replaced with the relevant nearby Pokestop (if the pokemon has spawned near one) and for pokemon not near a stop you'll get the current grass stuff. Seems a neat way around it but yeah if you're in a rural area you're kinda fucked but that's been the theme of the game from day one. CrowKnow
Trainers,Pokémon GO is in the process of being updated to version 0.37.0 for Android and 1.7.0 for iOS devices. Below are some release notes and comments from our development team. Implemented Buddy Pokémon: Trainers will now be able to choose one of their Pokémon to be their buddy. A Trainer can earn - Candy for their Buddy Pokémon by walking a certain distance. Made it easier to select smaller Pokémon on the screen. Fixed an issue where Eggs would sometimes hatch without displaying the animation. Improved performance reliability when a device switches networks to no longer cause the application to hang or stop updating. Pokémon GO Plus support Minor text fixes. We continue to focus on eliminating bots and scrapers from Pokémon GO. Rooted or jailbroken devices are not supported by Pokémon GO. Remember to download Pokémon GO from the official Google Play Store or iTunes App Store only. The Pokémon GO team I was excited for the update but, word has it they're blocking rooted phones so... I guess I'm done with pokemon go

Mister Jack
Is anyone still playing this? Has anyone caught that special holiday Pikachu? I haven't had a lot of time to play since I'm really busy in December, but I still haven't seen it pop up even once. For something that's only available for a few days, you'd think they'd be more generous with the spawn rates.

Also really bummed to find out the Squirtle community day wasn't really a "day" but a few hours. I found this out an hour after that finished. deanb
This is information that would have been useful some time ago! Also I like how my pokestop gifts I get are all "Victorian Indoor Market", "Old Town Post Office" "Town Obelisk", "the Golden Lion" (sooo many pubs are stops). And I get a gift from Jay now he's in US and it's from a mobile phone shop. The deep and rich Us history and culture!

It's the oldest operational fire station in Kansas, built in the ancient days of 1886!
TheMightyEthan
Does anyone else play this game who I'm not already friends with? The celebi quest chain requires making friends with 3 new people.
