Mr. GOH!
The excerpts I've seen elsewhere completely unconnected with the translation scandal suggest to em that it's more than a little stiff. If they're not gonna fix it ever, it seems bad enough that I'll just wait until it's $20 or $30.
Mister Jack
I don't remember this part of the game. Must be some new DLC.

TheMightyEthan
I want to document my guess for who the traitor is in case I turn out to be right: Spoiler I think it's Ann. She's always been a little bit reluctant, questioning whether we're really doing the right thing. I've been suspecting this since after the third dungeon, but the farther I get the more I think I'm right.
Mister Jack
Spoiler GOD FUCK YOU MISHIMA YOU WERE THE ONE LINK I NEEDED TO FINISH MAXING OUT ALL OF MY CONFIDANTS AND YOU JUST DISAPPEAR AFTER RANK 9!? FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU!
TheMightyEthan
Weirdly that was actually one of the first links I maxed. I don't think I'm going to be able to get all of them on this playthrough though. I guess whether or not I can get the true ending will determine whether I immediately dive back in to NG+ or not. Mister Jack
Confidants don't matter for which ending you get. I just want the trophy. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
TheMightyEthan
Ah, okay, good to know. I went in from the beginning assuming I wasn't going to be able to max every confidant on my first playthrough, but I assumed Spoiler that there would be some kind of "strength of your bonds" threshold you had to meet in order to get the true ending like P4G ... so I just looked it up and apparently in P4 your SLinks don't matter for the ending either?! The game sure made it sound like you needed a certain strength of bond in order to beat that one boss...
Mister Jack
Nope. There are different permutations depending on which links you max, but the basic ending is the same. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
Mister Jack
http://store.steampowered.com/app/453800/Midnight_Animal_A_Story_of_Love_and_Forgetting/ How the hell has the developer not gotten the absolute shit sued out of him by Atlus? TheMightyEthan
Because you can't copyright a vague aesthetic.
Thursday Next
Atlus could have patented certain aspects of the menu system if they were unique. Bioware did that with the conversation menu. But otherwise, yeah, those aren't normally protectable things.

Mister Jack
Some of the art "assets" are blatantly traced over Persona 5 character portraits. I'd post examples if they didn't contain spoilers.
Saturnine Tenshi
Haven't been playing because the first 8 hours were so on-rails/tutorial that I got bored/sick of it. Maybe I'll feel differently when I get back from vacation.
Pojodin
I just need to do the super boss dealio in New Game + and I will have done basically everything I wanted to. I found it to be quite enjoyable. Very Persona-esque, and it satisfies to that end.
deanb
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ngreenan.persona5imapp&hl=en Not entirely related to the game, but a Persona 5 themed SMS app has been made if you want to feel like a phantom thief when responding to your grandparents.
TCP
THE TEACHER IS WORKING AS A SEX MAID AND I CAN ROMANCE HER?! I take back every grievance I had with this game. 10/10. Seriously though, is there any Witcher-style penalty for pursuing multiple relationships??
Eleven
Wait until you get her Rank 10 perk!! She’s the best! There is and there isn’t. You get an extra scene if you do multiple. You don’t lose a scene with your main girl (the one you choose to spend those days with), like you don’t lose a chance to do something more with them because you did multiple. You don’t lose end game items. Without spoiling, you technically “lose” something, but at that point in the game, it doesn’t matter, is what the consensus is and I agree. I did multiple just to see how each of those stories would play out. Edited February 12, 2018 by Eleven
Mister Jack
You don't HAVE to be a cheating asshole. Unlike Persona 3, you can level a confidant up to level 10 without having it go romantic. But yes, Kawakami's rank 10 perk is one of the best in the game. I recommend maxing out the doctor, the politician, and Mishima too. I know he's a weenie, but his perk is worth it.

deanb
I've been playing this lately. Really bummed I had taken this long to get into it. I'd bounced of P3 kinda hard with its auto-generated dungeons n kind of obtuse gameplay. This still has the auto generated dungeons but it's just in the semi-optional Mementos and the actual main dungeons are all purpose designed. As for being obtuse it's almost the opposite. There's still a bit of "you have to read between the lines to figure certain tasks" but otherwise it's pretty hand holdily (though "you're tired go to sleep" is more hand-holdy than I'd like and it bums me that apparently I'm too tired to even watch a film or go shopping. And it's stylish as fuck, but that's not really telling anyone anything new. So yeah quite enjoying it, though there's a bit of an itch at the back of my mind on "waiting for it to open up" though not sure in what way, and feeling at times that I'm missing out on bits of the game (like for example working in a bar took a while to open up for me). Oh the fusion is quite annoying in having to get personas out of storage, then go back to the fusion then fuse, and if there's nothing new it'll fuse with then it's a case of turning them into an item (or now I have it using the network fuse). I could 'cheat' but it's actually quite painful to use fusion calculators, even for some of the specific stuff like for the twins.
Mister Jack
When you unlock the Temperance confidant, make sure to get it up to level 10 as soon as you can. That'll address one of your complaints.
