danielpholt
Eleven, I think most of us are on PC. We just haven't gotten together to play. And the worst I've seen is just three Lucios on defense of a point. Nothing like all Tracers and what you've shown. At that point, you can help but join in the on absurdity. Might as well have some fun. Winning is everything. What is life without success. I don't play games to 'have fun'. I play to win. In life and in games. Win. Win. Win. I'm on PS4 btw. Could be tempted to grab the PC version though if enough are interested in doing something.
Mal
I'm a little salty but I guess he did kill people regularly... and yeah, I missed killing Tracer earlier for a 5 in a row. Edited May 31, 2016 by MaliciousH
CrowKnow
POTG is painful to watch sometimes. Yeah that Junkrat got a 4k but all he did was spam choke vs a Lucio play where I picked picked their mercy and then won a 2v1 vs a soldier and a mccree. Some of the most fun I've had in a team is everyone going Winston or something. "Maining" a class has no place in the game though.... since heroes are situational and you need to be able to adapt. Awful when no one wants to play tank or healer and you can only do 1. Ran across someone with 30h+ on Widowmaker and maybe 15 minutes on the next most played class. danielpholt
Anyone been playing the Genji v Hanzo mode? I suck at Hanzo, just don't have the aim down at all. Genji seems to be a touch easier to play but not by much. http://www.pcgamesn.com/overwatch/share-overwatch-highlights Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
CrowKnow
Played one round of it, kinda boring tbh. Even less so than if it was all 1 hero. Hanzo I'm not a big fan of, playing against it brings back TF2 memories of the "lucksman" and it's even worse cause I can't reflect arrows as a support. https://gfycat.com/UnitedTatteredCub https://gfycat.com/HandsomeUnimportantAngelfish Even if he's good I'd be way happier to die to a widowmaker, from killcams he always just seems to be spamming arrows at choke, spamming scatter arrows at choke... spamming ult.. at choke. Genji has a really high skill ceiling, deflect is great. Pub genjis tend to spam their reflect which leaves an opening for anything that can stun or Mei/Winston. Ult is really strong, if you don't instantly shut him down he can easily get a 2-3k by just chaining dashes. Mal
I haven't even touched Hanzo or Genji even after 20 hours. I just have no interest in those two (and Widowmaker, Bastion and Junkrat). Tonight I tried Mercy and Zarya. They're so fun to play. Mercy is just round the clock work as you heal and boost damage. Her flying to allies is quite a neat ability for what is essentially the TF2's medic. Her pistol is also no slouch. It might be better than D.Va's. Zarya, if you get boosted, can clean house. Her alt fire is an on-contact Junkrat grenade launcher. Her ult though is a bit difficult to use correctly though. Lastly, the Mei life is a hard road to walk. I can feel being judge by all. edit: words Edited June 1, 2016 by MaliciousH
danielpholt
Mercy is a tough one for me. Firstly, pub players seem totally disinterested in playing as support, so I'll usually jump in as her if the match calls for it. That being said, I absolutely suck at playing her if we're attacking. Defence is fine enough as it's not usually too difficult to keep tabs on who I'm supposed to be watching, but if my team is on offense I quickly lose the ability to stay with my team. Who am I supposed to be sticking with, Tanks? Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
Baconrath
Hanzo gives me 'Nam flashbacks of dying to point-blank Huntsman arrows. I like playing as Zarya because walking into Symmetra kill rooms instantly fills your energy...until you get shut down by a Mei ;_;)7 Edited June 1, 2016 by Baconrath
Eleven
Ugh, Mei. I hate when she freezes you and she just stands there with her little spray looking you straight in the eyes until you die. Her invulnerability is so damn annoying too!

Mercy on attack though I'd say stick on the tank, ideally there should be an damage hero with the tank that you can damage boost as well. Mei at least takes like 5+ seconds to freeze and icicle you giving your team sometime to save you... McCree on the other hand FLASHBANG RIGHT CLICK, ROLL, RIGHT CLICK = insta death for basically any character in the game.
Mal
Luckily, McCree is getting a nerf soon. He can be quite the pain to deal with if the McCree is good enough. It should also be mentioned that D.Va should be getting a buff. She's lacking in a little something. Mercy is a tough one for me. Mercy on attack though I'd say stick on the tank, ideally there should be an damage hero with the tank that you can damage boost as well. That is my recommendation as well. Mercy can be difficult to use while on the offensive if the team scatter to the four winds. It's pretty annoying to be left with just me as a Mercy and a Reinhardt. I guess we're charging in? Now if the team sticks together, it is really up to your preference who you choose. I go Mercy in the beginning then switch to Lucio later on. It all depends on my ult status and how urgent I need to be back up front. Speaking of which, if your team ever get killed in such a way to be a string of heroes from spawn to the objective, you should stop and send the message to group up. danielpholt
In my experience no one listens to the call to group up. They'll say hello and spray to their hearts content, but actually trying to organise an attack that isn't just 'Lone Wolf' is hit and miss. I'm playing on PS4 though. I can't speak for PC, I imagine it's probably a bit more consistent on there. Any idea if your progress carries over from platforms? Im tempted to grab it on PC but don't want to lose my loot. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk Yeah, even on the PC side it isn't consistent in my experience. The group up message alone rarely works but, the ult notification+ typing in chat to "regroup and push on my ult" (I dunno if this is a thing on ps4) has had the most success. Otherwise you're kinda stuck just waiting in spawn hoping enough people died at the same time so you can push together. As for the cross platform loot it doesn't look like it according to this thread http://us.battle.net/en/forum/topic/20744165724 No the only thing that happens is that you'll be able to see your stats on your account page for ps4 as well as pc (there's a switch besides the level symbol). Didn't lose my skins or anything but it didn't unlock my legendary reaper skin from the pc on my ps4 . So it's just for stats records... Eleven
I don't quit in the middle, though I "rage quit" after seeing Defeat when I feel like the other team is too strong or if I feel my team have no plans to cooperate (sticking to the same character, not grouping up, no desire to play support, etc.). There is a matchmaking penalty I think though, because every time I do this I can't join another game for like 40+ seconds, even if the estimate is like 7 seconds only (meaning there's a healthy pool of players). I always fear of being matched with the same people again, that's why it's taking 40 seconds, to wait for them to get back to the lobby! TheMightyEthan
According to Bliz there's no penalty for quitting once the victory or defeat screen shows up.
Eleven
That's what it says everywhere, but try it. Quit then quickly re-queue. It won't bite until 30-40 seconds... Never fails for me. I don't get any other negative effect except for that.

Mal
That's the reason why I tend to hang back a bit, especially if a D.Va is on the team. I'm surprised that nobody came running back. It doesn't seem like they're dying so their defense is fine beside letting you slip through. Now I present you a double kill that I do feel bad about. A Zen and Mercy hugging each other as I shock them to death. I'm not sure why the Weekly Rumbles has such poor start-up loading time for models. Huh, it's fine in this clip... Speaking of Weekly Rumbles, this past week's random rumble is pretty great for trying out new characters in a relatively salt free match. Speaking of Weekly Rumbles, this past week's random rumble is pretty great for trying out new characters in a relatively salt free match. I was waiting...waiting...waiting for someone to come flying behind me but they never came. Makes me wonder if they were too focused on killing the other guys at point 1. Either way, someone certainly saw me make the trip to B as I caught fire along the way. I just started playing as Winston. He's pretty fucking fun. I'm not great at him yet, and he seems pretty weak 1 on 1 but when you come up behind a group, he dominates. Saturnine Tenshi
I fucking love Symmetra. I tend to play Symmetra on defense (whenever an escort isn't moving), or Tracer at most other times. I'll switch if the team comp calls for it, but those are my mains. As much as I enjoyed the randomness of this (last?) week's brawl, it seems as if it boiled down to a team getting a good comp then dominating. Since you don't get the opportunity to swap to address the other team's heroes, you're easily boned. Mal
God help you if there's double Bastion or some combination of tanks that your low DPS team cannot cut through. And I am realizing that the Weekly Brawl doesn't add time to your hero's time played. It's kind of a bummer since I've been using that to gauge my general proficiency with said heroes. As for Symmetra, she's awesome. I've been playing her often. Her beam is killer if you can lock down on someone long enough. Her alt fire is also an answer to shields. Saturnine Tenshi
Yeah, her beam ticks quickly get out of hand, which most players don't seem to respect. I'd treat her like a Mcree and avoid close range. Unless you're on a tank or some character who can easily counter.
