So got the mouse lag in the dialogue choices and quick menu as lag free as possible, Using this fix for ATI cards. I didn't have stuttering but it helped the mouse lag. http://www.pc-boost....ttering_fix.zip

there's still a touch of lag, but its nowhere near as bad as it was. Changing settings didn't help at all. Got pretty much everything max, except for ubersampling, runs very smooooooth. Welp, and now back to the game!

I love that door so much. Its the most perfect looking door I've ever seen in a video game. The way the light changes how it looks when its opened and shut....ohhh gives me goosebumps!

I think it looks highly stylized, which The Witcher 2 is a lot of the times, art wise. It kind of sucks that they tossed out some of those effects for the 360 version to make it run well. It looks more "real", sure, but I prefer a unique style.

Yeah, from what I remember the blur was well done in The Witcher 2. I remember thinking "This is actually something I don't mind leaving on.". That said, I did turn off motion blur. Of course.

Not as much sexy time in Witcher 2 compared to 1, but I think by this point Geralt is pretty monogamous.

I'm in Loc Muinne, following Iorveth's path. I can't really say I agree with this. Geralt still does it with whomever he wants (not counting brothel services), provided you pick the right choices (like always siding with the woman).

He's a pure philanderer but Triss holds a special place in his heart. It's up to the player how adventurous he is in the game. I like that. I remember paying for a lady of the night in the game and feeling totally empty afterwards - for purely review purposes, of course. On the other hand, caring for Triss feels more fulfilling, even from a narrative point of view.

I think it handles the blurring quite well. Motion blur during the gameplay is total overkill though and can make you feel a bit queasy. On the last bit of the story being told at the start, the tutorial really made the combat seem so fiddly, but its really great. Playing on hard btw.

I agree, but... (iorverth's path spoilers)

Sleeping with Cynthia, who turned Triss into a statue, was so ridiculous. That's actually the reason why I posted above. There should have been a conversation that goes:

"I've met the sorceress who turned you into a statue."

"Cynthia? That Nilfgardian bitch... I don't think I could ever forget the pain she caused me..."

"I'm sorry to hear that, Triss. I, uh... I slept with her.

*Triss slaps Geralt in the face."

Also, little tidbit about the 360 version vs the PC. They put in doors between areas, I guess to limit how much they load into memory or something. For example, Henselt's camp has walls within the camp, separates the left and right sides of the camp. Vergen in Iorveth's path has too many doors between areas, so it's a pain to travel around (it gets confusing, as you think the passages are houses, but they're not. They just put doors in it). For example, the castle area on the right side of vergen is open on the PC version, you can pass through it to go to the lower side of Vergen near the gates. In the 360 version, there is a door to enter the castle area, then a door to exit to go to the lower area near the gates. I wonder if Loc Muinne is the same. I've reached it on my PC playthrough but can't remember the town that much.

As far as I recall, I never slept with Cynthia but yeah, I get where you're coming from.

That makes sense, I have to say. I recall Henselt's camp being large enough to create some stuttering with my lowly 3gb of ram so I can only imagine how that was with the 360's puny memory.
