Faiblesse Des Sens
Whoa, I totally remember that story, but had no idea of the relevance.
deanb
http://imgur.com/a/TsvIV Â Some screenshots. You get a horse. Â Also I should maybe have a looksy into the books, but the slow translation to English is kind of off-putting (mainly in case they're good. I wouldn't want to have to stop reading before getting to the end)
TheMightyEthan
There are apparently fan translations. Â If I play the games without reading the books, will I be lost?
Waldorf and Statler
first game starts out with you in a coma and all characters, aside of going "Oh my god Geralt! Remember me??" will be fully introduced Plus really anything that happened in the novels outside of Triss, Ciri and Yennefer is unimportant to the games. They may mention old characters from the novels and basically all the friends of Geralt are friends of his but any backstory you need they'll tell you. I would still recommend reading them just to get to know Geralt, Triss and the universe better. Game looks awesome... but man I really wish we had some better screenshots to tell.
Waldorf and Statler
Aren't these early screens supposed to be in a semi-Witcher 2 engine anyways? I mean one more year for polishing should do wonders. Â What sucks is that it'll be like Bioshock Infinite where I'm really hyped for it but I have to wait like a whole year for it. Â The brightside is that Bioshock Infinite is here in like a month
Faiblesse Des Sens
I can't imagine them putting it out that fast. Definitely later 2014 and not earlier.

Hot Heart
There are apparently fan translations. Â If I play the games without reading the books, will I be lost? Â No, but The Last Wish (collection of short stories from where it all began) makes for a nice introduction to the universe.
Waldorf and Statler
Yeah if you HAVE to read something read the Last Wish. Like I said earlier the main incentive of reading the novel series is to see the relationship of Geralt, Yess, Trish and Ciri and how it evolves. Waldorf and Statler
So I'm gonna be forced to go for Yenn? That's fucking nice. Nevermind that those who haven't read the books will feel ESPECIALLY wtf'ed as they don't really know Yenn and the main romantic interest has been Triss for the past two games. I'm gonna watch the video later but I'm hoping this means that throughout the story you two are doing your own thing and meet time to time and not a "oh she left somewhere else, you won't see her at all throughout this game"
Saturnine Tenshi
Yeah, they didn't really say either way. Just said that Geralt is going for his true love or something like that. : \
Waldorf and Statler
I understand that Geralt and Yenn are like fated for each other due to that curse but I feel cheapened out. It's not that I don't like Yenn, but I always liked Triss better.

Hot Heart
I'm sure I've missed posting some past ones, but this sounds p interesting. http://www.pcgamer.com/previews/the-witcher-3-first-look/
Waldorf and Statler
I can't remember where I read it but somebody talking to CD Projekt got them to mention something along the lines that basically stated Yenn wouldn't be the only character in here. Also other stuff, but who cares about having fun when I can have waifus.
deanb
http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/04/15/the-witcher-3-will-have-36-different-end-states/ Â It's to have 36 endings. Though depends how that'll play out. Witcher 1 had 3 endings that were mainly different voice overs, Deus Ex Human Resources style, and Fallout does the whole slideshow thing.
Waldorf and Statler
I'm assuming it'll entirely depend on those side missions. Say you do side missions A, B and C succesfully but fail D, so bad consequences happens and this is considered an ending.
Faiblesse Des Sens
It says end states. Not endings. I would guess it'll be a certain small number of "endings" and than many small variances between theem.
Hot Heart
Seems to be three endings ('epilogue sequences') and then the associated variables.
