Saturnine Tenshi
I guess it's the typical bb spoiler tag? Yep. Every game isn't for everyone — I've no qualms with that(though I am far from without qualms... far from it). Can't expect to turn people to The Witcher the same way I can't be turned to Halo. Everything in the game just sort of fit together for me. Perhaps I overlooked some issues, but I came out of the experience without any real need to voice any problems. That's rare for me, and I appreciate it.
Thorgi Duke of Frisbee
I did. The dude was friggin' useless. He just walked up to it and died every time. Were you playing on the hardest difficulty setting? Speaking of him: ...wait. Is there no spoiler tag? I GUESS I'LL SPOIL EVERYTHING! HO HO HO! Which group did you inevitably side with? I went with the elves, because well, elves are sultry beasts, aren't they? I think that's one of the things that people fail to comprehend until they're deep into the plot: just how resounding and unpredictable the effects of your decisions are. Maybe that's one of the draws of the game? None of the fake moral grays from similar western role-playing titles. Hasn't been broski'd like Bioware titles, either. I feel for their writers. Really. I regretted working with him. I decided to negotiate with the elves during the bank robbery, and he turned into a complete dick, so I decided "Fuck these humans" and helped the elves escape. One thing that did bother me was the start of the game though, like many others I found it hard to continue playing at that point but once I got through it, it was all plain sailing. deanb
In case anyone is sure why the story side kinda makes everything else forgiven: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/05/04/how-the-witcher-dealt-with-choice (It's a bit spoilerish for the start of the game mind, they did have to give an example)
Saturnine Tenshi
Just called the store I have my game pre-ordered at. They aren't doing a midnight release for Brink or The Witcher 2. /morosetenshi I was planning on pulling an all nighter. I think my save files may have been corrupted. I hope not, since the second game pulls from your choices in the first.

Hot Heart
Via Dean http://www.cdaction.pl/news-19164-2/wiedzmin-2-zabojcy-krolow--recenzja-pierwsza-na-swiecie.html You could use a translator, but with my impeccable insight and translation skills, I will summarise for you. CD Projekt has created an RPG game, of which automobile quality is matched only by Mass Effect 2 The game will feature hovering tanks Nonlinearity is the game's greatest advantage and tops almost all the expeditions in bold That field made by other developers, Fair for - at this point already outdated - the system of morality patented by BioWare Will not make use of BioWare's Morality™ (which is, quite frankly, at an outdated Version 2.0.4) but will, in fact, top it. The author of the Review Also Pointed it " a few, but memorable love scenes Presumably, you no longer need souvenirs. Also, the control system is Mentioned, of which automobile design might lead to the conclusion Geralt will have the option of designing a hovertank in order to beat the game. One can only wonder what sort of moral ramifications this might have. Also Geralt can be controlled with the gamepad. This system works brilliantly, allowing you to control the movements Fully of the character, Turns out gamepads also work for third-person games. Wonderful discovery. The Review That Also mentions the stealth sections are not as good as the rest of the game, but the summary says That what counts is the Advantages If you want to like the game, only consider the advantages, idiot.
Pirandello
I'm still on the fence about buying this... after buying Brink (at $45, since it was pre-order), I'm not too keen on splurging some more. But it looks good. Really good. If I ever do get it, it will most likely be from GoG.com. Perhaps my opinion will change within the next few days. I played the first one and loved it to death (literally, Act 1 nearly made me want to quit the game, but I'm glad I stuck through it). Saturnine Tenshi
I'm still waiting to see what they do with respect to consoles. That tends to spoils things for me.
deanb
Well supposedly the game has great controller support, so it seems they've had the console version in mind for a while. As for the DLc: With the way the first Witcher worked out, and they way Witcher 2 is shaping up and how it's getting released I just kind of assumed it'd be the old fashioned free DLC stuff. CD Projekt are in some kind of time bublle, unaffected by anything else going on in the market n just operating as if it's the 90's early 00s. Saturnine Tenshi
CD Projekt RED have said that there will be no paid DLC. But companies often say things... just to say things. And yeah, I was squirming when I watched some of the earlier gameplay videos and say that 360 inputs were popping up during QTEs. We'll have to wait and see, but I've learned to be apprehensive about these affairs. CD Projekt RED seem to have avoided the greater banes of the industry. Who knows what will happen with(if it comes) The Witcher 3.
