deanb
I imagine we'll get more of this in E3.
TheMightyEthan
This game looks so fucking rad.
danielpholt
Who wants to take bets on this game not coming out on the date specified?
deanb
I believe that's the new date anyway, it was due end of this year originally I believe.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, that date in itself is a delay.
deanb
A new gameplay sequence showing some of the trapping, crafting, interface and such.
TheMightyEthan
This game was the highlight of the show for me. So excited.
Saturnine Tenshi
I'm intrigued. Just wondering how much depth it'll have and whether the execution will impress.
Strangelove
This is like THE game for me as far as a game that's coming out sometime soon and had no hype for. It just looks like my type of game. I hope it turns out good. Killzone debs have a decent record, but who knows.

deanb
TGS gameplay demo. I'm guessing it's openworld.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, they already said it's open world.

deanb
Wee bit different to what has been shown before. Kinda hoping that this stuff is a smaller part of the game, kinda preferred the "hunting robots on the plains" kind of stuff.
TheMightyEthan
What do you expect? It's a story trailer, of course it's going to be a bunch of cutscenes and people talking.
deanb
I meant more like the big giant mecha stuff n colleseum things n such.
Mr. GOH!
You didn't expect giant mecha? The game's about dinosaur-sized robots. :\ I am actually interested in this game and am gaming out how to explain my purchase of a PS4 to my wife.
TheMightyEthan
I feel like "robot dinosaurs" is explanation enough.
Thursday Next
I know what Dean means (I think). It looked like a more Shadow of the Colossus thing with the isolation and such. The coliseum stuff gives it more of a Mad Max feel, which doesn't bother me, but I can get it putting off others.
Saturnine Tenshi
TN states it nicely.
deanb
Yeah, kinda struggling to articulate, but there feels a fair tonal shift between the early stuff with the stealthy going through bushes, attacking raptor things, climbing the giraffes and such as part of a sort of nomadic tribe, and the newer stuff that yeah seems a bit more mad max-ey (for lack of a better comparison). It's not hugely off putting, but knocks it down the rung a bit for a "wait and see".
TheMightyEthan
It seemed to me like you come from a stone-age-type tribe, but due to whatever the instigating event is you have to go off adventuring and it takes you to places where the people are more advanced, and that's where the Mad Max-y stuff comes in. Mr. GOH!
I always assumed that sort of thing would happen. It's not Far Cry Primal: Robots.
deanb
It does look pretty damn nice. Also vast majority of the gameplay, though it is early on here, it does come across as pretty much "Far Cry Primal: Robots" . There's towers to climb to show off map, there's hunting and gathering, and all rather foilage-ey.
TheMightyEthan
Too bad it comes out 3 days before Zelda. I can't think of a single game that would win that fight for me. Luckily for Sony hardly anybody owns a Wii U, and I doubt the Switch will be a massive money-suck either.
