Horizon Zero Dawn

I can, but Amazon makes it super convenient, stuff sells super fast, and I get way better prices than at GameStop (also the nearest Gamestop is 45 miles away so it costs me $6 in gas to drive there and back, knocking $6 off whatever they give me, plus the time it takes).  I've got it listed on Glyde right now, and if it doesn't sell there eBay is my next option.  Also Gumtree appears to be UK only. :P

A Dutch documentary, though so far seems to be in English. I'd guess when interviewing the guys at Guerrilla you'll be needing subtitles. From what I've gathered this far in, it's kind of Dutch equivalent of Horizon (heh :/) or Panorama so it's not from a "focused solely on games" thing and more a excuse to look at games due to the success of a dutch games studio (maybe?).

I feel they have the advantage of releasing nearly two years after Witcher 3. Likely at first your mount just got near to you then one of the guys in development playing Witcher 3 was all "it's great n all but I wish Geralt would just get on Roach, there's a reason I called him over", and thus this got updated. They've actually been pretty good in post-release QoL tweaks so I imagine during development there was a lot of looking at what was out there n what worked and what didn't. Which I think is what has helped cement Horizon n Witcher as pretty damn fine games compared to say Bethesdas efforts where they just iterate on what they did last and not what everyone else did last.

While I agree mostly with your point, I still feel like they did a terrible job somehow for a "first effort", given how it kept annoying me whenever I call for it. It stops WAAAAAY farther than it should have, and gets stuck a lot.

They (Witcher) did a good job with making NPCs "know" where you're going or at least letting them keep up with you when you run around following them or following you. At least they could have done a similar job with the horse. Mounts in Horizon know where you're going. If I had actually turned around and went the other way after running for 3 seconds, my mount would have turned around as well, face whatever direction I was running towards and wait for me.

Finished the game last night!

Spoiler

I didn't like the tower defense part in the final mission. 5 freaking Deathbringers. They should have stopped at 2. Then maybe sent out the Stormbird and a Thunderjaw.

Then the final boss is a stupid juiced up Deathbringer. Really...

Edit: But that's probably the only thing I didn't like about the game, aside from not having an option to hide the hideous helmets. Although the Shadow Stalwart mask/helmet (on the heavy) is pretty cool, and I've grown to like the helment on the Carja heavy.

https://blog.us.playstation.com/2017/07/06/horizon-zero-dawn-patch-1-30-adds-new-game-face-paint-options-ultra-hard-difficulty-more/

New update released, fixes a few progression bugs (I think the biggies are all out the way now though) but mostly adds in a New Game+ mode with added difficulty, and option to get some tweaked weapons. Also adds facepaint and option to change the Focus.

How you doing story wise Ethan?
