Mister Jack
Also, new South Park game is confirmed to be uplay. That's a bummer. Was really hoping it would be Steamworks like the first one. Guess that means I'm getting the ps4 version. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk

Saturnine Tenshi
Uplay worked absolutely fine for me when I was playing Assassin's Creed and Child of Light. What's the fuss? It's no worse than Steam at this point besides selection.
toxicitizen
It absolutely is worse than Steam. But the main problem is that we already have Steam. It's a redundant layer of DRM/account and it's not particularly good. Same goes for other shit like Rockstar Social Club. It doesn't bring anything useful to the table that Steam doesn't already provide. It benefits no one but Ubisoft/Rockstar/whoever else runs it. It's not going to keep me from playing a game I'm interested in but I sure as hell wish I didn't have to deal with it. deanb
I've found no issues with uPlay myself, I quite like the stuff they do with the points to unlock smaller bits of DLC in their games. And yeah the Sony conference has been pretty damn sweet so far. I think a strong bit from it is so far its been an almost constant stream of games with minimal on-stage stuff. Having some VR to show off helped too.

Mal
Days Gone has quite a bit of character models on the screen. I might not be interested in the game itself but that's quite impressive. Resident Evil 7 is odd. God of War is odd.Death Stranding... weird but can't say much until maybe E3 2017.
TCP
Man. Sony knows how to throw a press conference.
deanb
Yeah, I'm meh on zombies n all, but that was a shit ton of bodies on screen at once, and interacting in a physics environment too. There's some solid technical chops in that game.
toxicitizen
Alright, now that it's over, need to rewatch that Resident Evil 7 trailer. I switched to another tab because at first it seemed like a generic horror thing made for VR. So when it ended I just kinda went "Wait, WHAT?!" edit: Yeah, not sure I'm feeling it. That... doesn't look like Resident Evil? I mean, why call it RE7 if it's (what looks like) a reboot? Just make a new IP. :/ Edited June 14, 2016 by FLD

TheMightyEthan
Do we know if the Spider-Man game is really an exclusive or what? That just seems weird for a licensed game like that.
TCP
It seems exclusive, I wonder if it was part of the Spider-Man -> Marvel deal??
TCP
Exclusive!
CorgiShinobi
The suit does take some cues from the Civil War suit, and I mean Sony does technically have a lot of sway with Spider-Man still. Easily could see it being an exclusive. Thing is, there have been so many Spider-Man games, it may not necessarily be something to be envious of unless it proves to be of stellar quality. EDIT: And I guess TCP answers the question! Edited June 14, 2016 by Atomsk88
