danielpholt
Planet Coaster® - the future of coaster park simulation games has arrived! Surprise, delight and thrill incredible crowds as you build your coaster park empire - let your imagination run wild, and share your success with the world. Platform: PC Release Date: November 17 Price: £30 - $40 -------- This game looks super fun. In my head I'm seeing Roller-coaster Tycoon with an updated set of visuals and more modern touches (think Cities Skyline styled workshop content). The alpha footage all looks promising, so fingers crossed they can deliver on the early promise as this is my most anticipated game of 2016. **Mods** I did a dummy. Any chance this can be moved to the PC forum?
madbassman39
I am very interested in this game, but I'm going to wait until the verdict is out and see exactly how this game goes. This is the same company that made Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, which I loved, and Elite Dangerous, which I also love. I have hopes its good, but I'm also worried it will be vast but shallow. If its good I'm going to get it 100%
danielpholt
It's a real shame they didn't offer their alpha access at a more reasonable rate. I believe it was £45 for Alpha access, something I would have been really interested in trying, but not for that price. No sir. We'll see, but I'm optimistic at this point. Even if it's only at the level of RC2, it'll be a damn fun game to play.
danielpholt
Game launched a few hours ago (after a very short) beta period. I've put maybe 2-3 hours into the game so far and it's good, very demanding on your PC, but if you've got the system to run it, and you've been holding off for reviews, I think you're pretty safe to go pick it up. Much like Cities Skylines before it, Planet Coaster is going to rise and fall with its community of fans. If they continue to push out Steam Workshop items like they are, then the game will have some serious legs, if not then we're going to need to see Frontier step up and really bolster whats already on offer. As an aside, did anyone see the recent Rollercoaster Tycoon World news? How the mighty have fallen.
danielpholt
Pretty sizeable update here. I'll jump in and see how the game plays with the new patch. For all the games beautiful pixels, as a park manager it was very underwhelming.
