Mister Jack
Â I kickstarted this game years ago and now it's finally here. Â I just got my steam code in my email. Â
toxicitizen
Â Heard really good things about the initial prototype for The House Abandon (as well as the full game in the past few days), so I'm really looking forward to checking it out. I'm going in mostly blind. All I know is it's text-based and I'm assuming there's some kind of meta element to it because I seriously doubt people would be making such a big deal about it otherwise. Plus, if you couldn't tell from the logo, it's one of those 80s nostalgia projects and I'm a huge sucker for that stuff so if anything I'll probably enjoy it for that alone.

Mal
Â Since I can't play Horizon or BotW, this will have to do. I won't have giant robot dinosaurs or excellent exploration but at least I will get something like this: And maybe a good port. That remains to be seen and I will return it if it isn't.
Thursday Next
If anyone else has a PSVR, I recommend Psychonauts: Rhombus of Ruin by the way. I'm finding that Adventure games / Escape the Room games work *really* well in VR. Something about being able to look into the room and manipulate stuff... It makes a huge difference.
danielpholt
I've had a bad week. I needed this.. Â Â It was also my Birthday. GF pre-ordered me this: Â
MetalCaveman
Got the Noble Phantasm edition of Fate/Extella, yes, that's the second time I buy that game, though I pre-ordered the digital version, I've heard from other Fate/ fans that the art book included with this edition is worth the price alone, and since Amazon had it for cheap, it was a no-brainer for me. Â Though that also means I won't be able to get Horizon, Ghost Recon or Nier anytime soon. Edited March 7, 2017 by MetalCaveman
Mr. GOH!
I have no self control and I got it for $44 off of cdkeys, although it won't unlock until the worldwide release on the 23rd.
Mister Jack
 I still have a couple trophies left to get in Nioh, but one of them is based around rotating daily missions and the other involves grinding for money, so I might as well do that in spurts and move on to this.   By chance, I also discovered I had some unused eShop credit on my 3DS, so I used it on this. toxicitizen
Â GamersGate has the best deal for it I've seen yet and I'm assuming I won't see better than 30% off pre-release, so I went for it.

deanb
The first goes pretty dang cheap at times (was in PS+ a few months back too if you have that), worth grabbing if you're into stealth games as it's pretty dang exceptional. Of Orcs & Men, which came first and I guess is a sort of sequel, is also kinda decent though it's not (entirely) a stealth game, and much more linear in its progression.
toxicitizen
It's kinda blowing my mind that something like Styx came out of Of Orcs and Men. I'm currently playing through it and I'm having a pretty good time with it but it's not exactly a great game. I'll post more in depth thoughts once I'm done with it but there's some pretty janky stuff in there. More Styx is always a good thing, though. Mister Jack
Â Okay, so normally I would never EVER buy this many games at the same time, especially when I'm currently still playing one, but Target was having a buy 2, get 1 free sale and considering I plan to play all these at some point anyway, that's too good to pass up. Â I got my tax return recently too, which made it easier to take advantage of said sale. Â Annoyingly, Target doesn't carry Nier in the store so I had to get Zelda and Ghost Recon through store pickup and order Nier to be shipped in the same transaction. Â Fortunately, the sale still applied when I did it that way. Â Â Since I was already on a game buying spree, I used my saved up Amazon reward credit to preorder this. Â I'm officially set on games for the next several months. Â Normally I don't preorder games through Amazon because they almost never send it out on launch day, but look at all those games up there. Â I'll be perfectly fine if P5 is a few days late. Edited March 11, 2017 by Mister Jack
TheMightyEthan
Do you not have Prime? Â I've never not gotten a game on release date from Amazon.
Mister Jack
I do not, no. I don't buy things all that often on Amazon. That credit took years to save up. Â Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
deanb
Since I don't have a second controller I've picked up the Jackbox Bundle (currently on sale) to expand multiplayer capabilities of PS4 to play with siblings.
Hot Heart
Mythotopia Not sure how often I'll get to play this, since it's max 4-player, but it was £13, brand new. Jumped on it because it's a Martin Wallace thing, so they're not always in abundance (e.g. A Study In Emerald, First Edition or London), and I really like his designs. This is a deckbuilder mixed with area control game, a bit like aforementioned ASiE mixed with Onward to Venus, but way less complex. Like ASiE, your control over regions gives you that province card, which will have different symbols. With those you buy towns, cities, castles, build roads, invade other provinces, launch ships across the sea areas and purchase "improvement cards" to suit the style of your deck. Within that you'll need to focus on what scoring categories you'll be chasing because there are variable VP awarding condition cards (dealt from a deck at the start) that hold a set amount of VP tokens, which you take each time you meet that criterion. Once enough of these VP token piles have been depleted, players will be able to take an action to "end the game" if they're ahead in scoring (after ongoing wars have been settled). toxicitizen
Â Forgot to post it because it wasn't a purchase but I won Hollow Knight in a giveaway on GAF a few days ago. Holy shit, it is so fucking good, you guys. If you're a fan of metroidvanias, you need to go buy it right now. It's the best one I've played since, shit, I don't even know. It blows pretty much every single one I can think of out of the water. It's also mind-boggingly massive. I'm like 15 hours in and it's obvious I'm nowhere near done. I was hoping to finish it in time for Styx 2 but that's not gonna happen. I've heard reports of people taking almost 30 hours to fully complete it and get the true ending. That's just insane quality and value for that price. Â The way gaming press has been ignoring it is straight up fucking criminal yet it still managed to move like 40K units through word of mouth alone. If it had gotten a push from mainstream reviews, I fully expect it would've seen Shovel Knight levels of success. Hell, I personally think it's way better than Shovel Knight. Hopefully that can still happen once it drops on consoles.
Mal
Sold. After Shantae Risky's Revenge and Pirate's Curse, I want more metroidvanias while I'm waiting on updates for Half Genie Hero. It's also something to ground Nier Automata that's out in a few...
Mr. GOH!
Final Fantasy XV for a discount because, as I have said before, I have no self-control.
