Games You've Bought 2017

Today was Humble Monthly day, which means I got a bunch of games that I won't bother posting and they revealed next month's early unlock. It doesn't happen all that often but the early unlock was an instant resub for me.

Even if everything else ends up being shit, this is still cheaper than it's ever been.

I've been thinking about re-subbing to Humble Monthly for a few months now, and every single time I talk myself out of it and then regret it when I see what they have that month. Enough!

For the past few months I've been basing my decision purely on whether or not I wanted the early unlock and the secret games have been consistently better in the bundles I ended up skipping lol. Which led to me getting last month's despite not needing Dark Souls II and... well, it would've been pretty good if I didn't already own Hyper Light Drifter, I guess. Kero Blaster looks great and I'll definitely try that Sherlock Holmes game. But yeah, at this point I'm getting ready to just start flipping a coin or something...

I preordered that the other day because I figure I'll still enjoy playing with my usual group.

I think pre-loading for the beta is supposed to be starting today on PS4, or so I heard. I'm wondering if I'm meant to be getting a code for early access at some point soon (probably not needed either way since it's not a bunch of content in the beta)

I backed this and it was funded. Might be the riskiest funded Kickstarter I've ever backed, but considering that the campaign was for extras and not to fund the main game, I'm not too worried. Looks like it's in the vein of the other recent isometric RPGs, except this one will use Pathfinder rules (read as: rules that are very very very similar to DnD 3.5 rules, but with a lot of fixes).

I might be able to make it some point in the evening, I'm not 100% sure. Have a family thing to attend and I'm not sure when I'll be finished.

As for the topic, well...

*cough*

I don't think it'll be anything great, but it's cheap enough now stock is in the UK, and it should appeal to my Rick & Morty loving group of friends and possibly even family.

Aven Colony, which seems to be Anno/Tropico in space.  So basically it's 100% my jam.  It's technically a preorder, but the beta has been available for purchase on itch.io for long enough that I'm confident about what it is and that I'll like it.  Sadly the beta is no longer available since they want people to wait for the full release next Tuesday. :( Although I do get a 10% discount for preordering. :D
