deanb
So looking for a game I could play with my siblings that didn't need me to buy a new £50 controller I picked up Jackbox bundle for PS4. And kinda seems like a decent game that'd work through streaming to play. Seems to be a bit of interest so I'll make a post. Basically all you need to play is a phone/tablet, you visit jackbox.tv and put in the room code offered and a nickname (if we were to do this I'd prefer folks use forum names). This then gives you an on screen "controller" of sorts for inputting answers or drawing doodles and such. You do need a modern-ish device but mainly in like "if your phone has Chrome on it you're good". My sisters semi-ancient Android 4 tablet wasn't supported. My plan is to use Twitch to stream, so anyone that follows the link can join in from home (either using their PC, or a tablet, or chromecast to watch Twitch on). Metalcaveman suggested Discord for audio chat (the link is above) which helps with the "party" aspect of it. Jackbox You Don't know Jack - Quiz show of sorts Drawful - You draw, other people guess what you drew, and vice versa Word Spud - You continue a sentence one word at a time. Not very enjoyable (and timed). Lie Swatter - True or false basically. Fibbage XL - A quiz where you provide the (convincing though false) answers then from multiple choice guess the correct one.Jackbox 2 Quiplash - You're given a prompt, provide a funny answer and people vote on best response. Bidiots - You create artworks and bid on them, aiming to get resale value through tips provided by an assistant you have. I didn't really enjoy it. Fibbage 2 - See the above Earwax - A suggestion is made and you pick from a selection of audio clips (e.g wilhelm, badoings, children crying etc) to best match it. Bomb Corp - Try to defuse a bomb, each person has instructions for other players. It wouldn't work streaming I don't think. Some of these have a time component which'd make them suck for streaming. Some just suck. But many are quite fun. (timed wise many do have like a 60/30 second timer for inputting responses but that shouldn't matter for streaming delay purposes. So yeah, I guess sign-up if you're interested. I'll aim, if it goes well, to maybe do this on a semi-regular basis. I'm available like all the time, but I'd guess this'd work best on a weekend. Probably aim for first session 22nd/23rd this month? As you can see from the top picture it can support a decent amount of players (some theoretically go into the thousands due to the streaming/audience participation elements, but I doubt that'll happen).
