Mister Jack
@Mal I bought that too. Haven't played too much of it yet but it's a nice, relaxing game that's perfect for portable mode.
Mister Jack
I used an old, forgotten Gamestop credit card to buy my Switch because I figured I could get some points or something from it, and while i was setting up my online account I noticed I had a crapton of old rewards points I never redeemed for anything. So I went ahead and redeemed them.
TheFlyingGerbil
I was hoping to get Steep for £10, but they didn't have it. They did have this, new for £2.50 on PS4. I've not played the first one, but for that price I could hardly say no. They also had Prey for a fiver but I'm not sure about getting that.
TheMightyEthan
You should get play Dishonored 1. And Prey.
TheFlyingGerbil
All the bargain games except Halo 4 on the 360 had sold out by the time I went back today. boo
TheFlyingGerbil
It was reduced to £3.99 on the eShop, which is cheap for the Switch version. Not quite sure if I can find any logic as to how, why and when games come on and go off sale in the eShop, you need to keep a regular eye on it. TheMightyEthan
I tried that game on PC and just got so bored. It took way too long to do anything.
Mister Jack
Cost me about 10 bucks. It's a much better way to use tabletop mode than the built in kickstand, and when you're not using it it folds up to the size of a cell phone. A larger cell phone, I suppose, but you could easily toss it into a bag or a carrying case. Soon...
CorgiShinobi
I too have pre-ordered Dragon Ball FighterZ. If it wasn't for having a few good matches in the Beta and seeing some cutscenes online, I probably would have passed on it. Adult Gohan was my favorite to play as, and you know I'm going to try playing as Android 21!
Mal
Ugh. Why must I be absolutely shit at fighting games? Majin Android 21 is consuming the internet and my heart.

Mal
So... I should actually try to use my 3DS. First game was between this or Story of Seasons because I wanted a Harvest Moon like game that's not current gen Harvest Moon. And I swear I am building up a library of games for my niece to hand down.
Mister Jack
Rune Factory IV is an excellent game. It's just a shame there probably won't be any more because I really would have wanted a sequel. And did you try the DBZF beta? It's actually a very pick-up-and-play kind of fighter that's a great entry point for people who don't play the genre. And don't get me started on Majin 21... Hot Heart
Loved this game the two times I played it. My other, newer gaming group absolutely loves deck builders and I was telling them how this was a neat blend of those mechanics plus a step up compared to stuff they'd played. Out of curiosity I discovered there was a second edition which tidies/pretties up the presentation, makes it far easier to grasp and improves the balance. I just happened to find an eBay auction for a new, sealed copy that had less than a day left and only one other bid. Couldn't help myself. Put in a bid and it was mine for £1 more than the other bidder and still under £30. While it's 4-player maximum (hence why it doesn't get a regular outing), I also think it'll work at meet-ups. At least with The Last Guardian I know the potential for disappointment. Speaking of disappointments, I should probably get back to Shadow of The Colossus.

FWIW, I've seen lots of people who already played it on PC say they can't wait to play it again on Switch. 4 hours ago, TheFlyingGerbil said: Speaking of disappointments, I should probably get back to Shadow of The Colossus.
Mal
Heard that this is another really good metroidvania. Just under bunny girls aesthetics. 1
toxicitizen
Let me know if it's as good as it looks. The trailer and screenshots on the store page make it look like something I would really enjoy but holy fuck the bunny girl thing makes it a tough sell. And I say this as someone with a pretty high tolerance for anime bullshit...
Mister Jack
I noticed that I had a bunch of Wii games I can no longer play since I sold my Wii U, so I traded them in and... I have had mixed feelings about previous games in this series, but I hear this one is a lot more accessible. I don't plan to start it right away, but there was a +40% deal when trading in toward this game. I still had ten bucks left over thanks to that, and if it turns out I don't like this one either I'll just sell it down the line for something else. No skin off my nose. I didn't spend any actual money on it and I don't see any upcoming releases worth mentioning for a while. TheMightyEthan
I wish that game had a Switch version, I'd be all over it.
Mal
PC version in eight months. Such a long wait, its almost not fair. It's kind of funny how a lot of long time fans of the series were ambivalent or even outright hostile to MHW before release. It's destroying the charts right now. toxicitizen
So, I guess today is Final Fantasy day in PC Land. FFXII released and FFXV is up for pre-order. I was planning to wait for both but I'm a weak man so this happened. I caved for two reasons. FIrst, I ran the benchmark tool and the results were better than I expected. Seems to average around ~40fps, which I can live with. And this is normal settings, so I might even be able to fine tune a bit and hit 60fps. The other reason is I noticed the price on GMG was magically 10 bucks lower once I added it to my cart. Price mistake? I wasn't gonna wait to find out! Stacked a 23% voucher on top and ended up getting the game for like 37$ CAD. 30 bucks less than on Steam, not a bad deal. edit: Ha, it's gone back up. Totally was a price mistake. >:D Edited February 1, 2018 by FLD
