If you bought DMC4 then this is the meme/song you need to be referencing! edit: I can sell Steam cards again, so I've been farming and selling them for the past couple weeks and made about 120 bucks. Which means this all only cost me about 40 bucks out of pocket. I also got some Warframe DLC packs because why not. Don't know if I'm done or not yet. I have a few foils that I thought wouldn't sell that (annoyingly) did right after I sent the purchase through, so I already have a little bit of funds back in my wallet. It's been so long since I played it I doubt I would know which ones were new. I got those collections when they were on PS3 and supposedly the PS4 version runs a lot better. I don't want to buy them again, but it makes me a little envious. Still need to try 2.8, but I only want to play that Aqua 0.2 game since I've got Dream Drop Distance on 3DS. As for the performance, I've only tried the first game so far but it's been running at a pretty consistent 60 FPS. I haven't noticed any conspicuous frame drops yet. I was looking through my wishlist and the top sellers and I couldn't find anything else that I really wanted, at least not at its current price. I wasn't really interested in a Life is Strange prequel but the free game and the announcement of season 2 got me thinking back to the original and now I feel all nostalgic about it. Anyway, started messing around with it and it's actually a pretty damn fun fighting game! It actually feels like it was designed for sane people, so after doing a few tutorials to understand the mechanics I'm already pulling off some crazy combos during actual fights. I kinda suck at fighting games and usually end up half-button mashing in panic even when I know what I'm doing, so the more beginner friendly inputs are really welcome here. I mean, I absolutely love Arc System Works' games but holy hell does their complexity make me feel like I'll never be good at fighting games. toxicitizen Posted July 7, 2018 Author Report Share Posted July 7, 2018 I'm really enjoying Killer Instinct but the Steam controller, as much as I love it, is so fucking trash for fighting games. I can get kinda rough and button mashy in the heat of the moment and I'm worried I'll break the trackpad they're passing off as a dpad. So I'm using the analog stick instead, but it's been acting up for a while and it just doesn't feel as good as a proper dpad. I've been tempted to get a fight stick or pad for a long time now, so I figured it was now or never. I like fighting games but I feel like my lack of skills has kept me from truly getting into the genre. I blame GMG, they know how to tempt me with their damn pre-order discounts and their vouchers that stack on top of those pre-order discounts! Ended up getting the Deluxe Edition for cheaper than the base game costs directly from Steam, even after conversion to CAD. Oh well, at least that should be my last big purchase of the summer. I don't think there's anything else I want other than Ys: Memories of Celceta and I've got card money saved up for that. Oh and I got the fighting pad yesterday. That thing is kind of amazing! I thought having R1 and R2 as face buttons would be the biggest advantage but having L1 and L2 where R1 and R2 would normally be is an equally huge game changer. It basically removes the need to develop muscle memory and allows you to focus entirely on just remembering/executing the inputs. Makes it so much easier to pull off longer combo chains.
