Mr. GOH!
@TheMightyEthan fixed! I shouldn't post from my phone. But, just to emphasize, rdr2 looks remarkably better on pro. I don't know the technical terms, but rdr2 on the slim, and earlier rockstar games, made lots of smaller or finer character actions and animations blurry (like harvesting plants or birds flapping their wings in rdr2); that doesn't happen on the pro. Everything else just looks better. I'm glad I traded up! Edit: Also, when I traded in my ps4 for the pro, they had rdr2 editions in for the same price as regular pros. Since I already had rdr2, they opened up the box and let me trade in the rdr2 inside for an extra 32 trade in value, which was nice. I think it was the best experience I have ever had at a GameStop. TheMightyEthan
Yeah, I love the Pro. Spider-Man looks amazing on it.
TheFlyingGerbil
I'm guessing this is a stupid question, but is there any point in a pro if you don't have a 4k tv?
TheMightyEthan
Yes, it can run the games at 4k and then downsample them to 1080p, so they still look a lot better than on a regular PS4.
CorgiShinobi
I'm still waiting till the day my original PS4 dies. I've never liked buying the same console again, even though the Pro is effectively a PS4.1 in comparison. Like maybe I could, in RDR2, burn an entire mound of lawmen corpses and the rest of the alleyway without the framerate going to absolute crap. The game still looks absolutely beautiful, though I imagine textures would probably work better on Pro.
Mister Jack
Man, who would have guessed that the Playstation would end up having the best VR experience after all?
TheMightyEthan
Assassin's Creed Odyssey I know I shouldn't be buying games this close to Christmas, but it was $35 on GMG and I couldn't resist.

toxicitizen
I've been in a bit of a backlog mood lately, so nothing in the current Steam sale is really tempting me all that much. I did end up browsing the Battle.net store and grabbing a couple things, though. The Legendary Edition upgrade for Overwatch (because it was cheap enough that I didn't think twice about it) and the Necromancer add-on for Diablo 3. So, I guess a D3 replay is happening in the near future. I kinda wanted Legacy of the Void but it's been so long that I would probably need to replay the entire trilogy at this point and I'm not ready to jump into that right now. I'm also a little bummed out to have missed out on getting a physical copy. I don't know if they're out of print but I can't find any at a reasonable price anywhere I usually order from. So it can wait, and hopefully get a little cheaper by the time I'm ready to get it.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, I've been on a backlog binge for the last couple months, and have gotten it down to 2 games (3 now) which is low enough for me start buying again, apparently. toxicitizen
I've kinda given up on mine ever getting that low. A few years ago I went through my Steam library and made a spreadsheet with a lot of titles that I'd at least like to try and I've barely made a dent in it. At this point I'm overdue to not only update the list but also go through it and remove a bunch of "who am I kidding?" titles that I'll probably never get to. deanb
Man that "but it was $35". I've seen FO76 for £14 I recently bought Virtual Rickality. A mate had a PSVR party (also set up my PS4 with his account n he gets sooo many games digitally) and it was on sale so got that as an addition. Might get AstroBot for xmas. Not been gaming as much lately though.

toxicitizen
Still in a backlog mood, so I haven't felt the need to buy much this sale. I've been playing Grim Dawn lately and enjoying it a lot, so the expansion was a no-brainer. Same goes for Vermintide 2 as my friends and I are almost done playing through the first one and we've been having a blast with it. I also grabbed all the DLC levels for the first Vermintide because all rats must die. I've been curious about Siege for a while now since I keep hearing about how great it is and the standard edition finally dropped to a price where I was willing to bite. The Division was the only impulse purchase. I never really paid any attention to it before but I randomly felt like giving the trial a shot the other day and it seemed like something I would enjoy. I still have some money left in my Steam wallet so I'll probably grab something else but I have no idea what. Nothing is really tempting me all that much right now.
