Mr. GOH!
We order so much stuff plus get free grocery delivery and same-day delivery via Prime. Not to mention the streaming. It's a great value.
TheMightyEthan
We basically never watched anything on the streaming, and same-day delivery isn't available here, we can only get the free two-day shipping. We just wait until we have $25 worth of stuff we want and get the free slowpoke shipping. The reason I came in here: Into the Breach for Switch. TheFlyingGerbil
I stopped buying on Amazon and cancelled PRIME even though I got good value out of it (though it's not as fully featured here in the UK) as I'm trying to be a more ethically minded consumer. I could definitely do more on this front but honestly it's impossible not to tie yourself in knots trying to work it all out but some decisions are more obvious than others. TheMightyEthan
It's on GMG for $45 with a voucher. Given the generally great reviews I couldn't resist. 1
MetalCaveman
Asked around a bunch of local stores, most of them didn't know it was a thing "What game is that? Never heard of it." So ended up buying it on Amazon, probably won't get it on release day, but it's better than nothing. \m/ \m/
TheMightyEthan
Nier:Automata is 60% of on GMG (for about the next half hour) and that was finally low enough that I bit.
Mr. GOH!
Just bought a new laptop because my old one died. It's and Acer 300 Helios with a GTX 1060 (6GB), i7-7000q, 256 GB SSD, and a 2 TB hybrid drive I have to install. Oh, I will also be buying Red Dead 2 for ps4 today. Not sure if I'll get the deluxe or regular edition.
TheMightyEthan
Oh yeah, I preordered Red Dead 2 for PS4 about a week ago too, but forgot to put it in here.
toxicitizen
The new Tactical Legacy Pack DLC is free for owners of this, so I figured it was about time to get it. I've already put something like 15 hours into it and I'm really enjoying it. It adds a ridiculous amount of stuff into the campaign, to the point where it almost feels like a completely different game. After playing like 150+ hours of Enemy Unknown, it always felt wrong that I only played through XCOM 2's campaign just once. I've been wanting to do a replay for a while now, so I'm really glad to finally be doing it.
MetalCaveman
Saw that it was on sale for $5 back when I was looking around for any place that had VC4, decided to check out again today in case it was still there and it was, so I jumped on it.
TheMightyEthan
I paid $40 for HW2 and was happy with it, so $5 is a steal.
toxicitizen
Had like 15 bucks of store credits saved up on the Humble store and this was on sale, so I finally grabbed it. I wanted to at least get the edition that comes with the season pass characters but the Ultimate one was only 5 bucks more so I said fuck it and got that one.

CorgiShinobi
Not a game, but it's such a handy gaming accessory. I was browsing some YouTube videos when I saw this video where he was using an Xbox One controller on his Switch. Aside from the first 4 minutes being a waste, it proves to do everything it says it will do. I personally haven't tested the motion controls, but I did get my PS4 and Switch to recognize my Xbox One controller. There are some other features, though to me it being a good rechargeable battery is more than enough as I want to avoid batteries. You do have to do a firmware update for it to work on the Switch after the Switch's 5.0 update. Brook Gaming's website isn't the best, yet you can get to the downloads relatively easy. You'll basically be downloading an executable file that only updates the firmware. Nothing more and it's probably for the best as I can't imagine this company making a user-friendly GUI to do key mappings and turbo settings. The manual is giant, but that's because it has English, Japanese, Korean, and two Chinese languages for instructions. As long as you remember how to switch modes (Switch, PS4, PC, Xbox One), that's all you need. Seriously, I was going to splurge on the Smash Ultimate Edition Pro controller, but now I can use a controller I was exclusively using for PC. The adapter is $50 however, so unless you don't currently have a Pro controller or have enough controllers for the other platforms, you can pass on it. TheMightyEthan
That's really cool, but at that price I'll just keep using my platform-specific controllers.

Mr. GOH!
An EVGA GTX 970. This should let me game in 1440p very well. 4k for some games. Right now the only games I can run in 4k are indies and a few grand strategy games. This particular model is one of the better-performing 2070s. TheMightyEthan
I'd say it'd get you to 4k on most games if you're willing to go to 30fps. My 1080 can get most games to 4k30.
Mr. GOH!
30fps is usually fine by me!
blink_fps
Favorite games I've purchased in 2018 so far: Escape from Tarkov Black Ops 4 The Hunt Showdown Stalker: Shadow of Pripyat Ironsight
Mister Jack
I never actually got around to playing Spyro as a kid. I didn't own a PS1 until the PS2 was already a thing. I love collectathon platformers though, so I'm looking forward to this.
Mr. GOH!
Just got a ps4 pro. The difference in how some games look (rdr2, hzd) waaaay better on the pro. Edited November 19, 2018 by Mr. GOH!
TheFlyingGerbil
Thanks to Sainsbury's, I bought RDR II, and Assassin's Creed Origins for £35 (for both, not each) of loyalty points so technically free? I'm kind of more excited to play Origins but I think I'll have to play RDR II first just because I'm a cheap bastard so don't often get to play games when other people still are on them.
