THQ Nordic Acquire TimeSplitters

This is huge news. TimeSplitters was revered in the PS2 era. I'm hoping they're talking to GOG about re-releasing the trilogy. Hopefully we'll see a new entry to the series in the next 2-3 years.

I always sort of equated TimeSplitters with Knack. An OK launch game that people bought/played because it was a launch game, which gave it a sequels it maybe didn't deserve.

Timesplitters was pretty decent but the real news for me here is that THQ still exists.

THQ still exists in the same way Atari still exists. Nordic simply bought the name and added it to their own, because I guess someone there thought it was a good idea.

I remember playing one of them, though I can't remember which one, and thinking it was fun, cool to see they may be bringing them back.

As far as I know, they're actually planning to drop the Nordic name completely and and fully become THQ.
