toxicitizen
Made one last round of purchases before the sale ends. I was tempted to get more but decided to stick with stuff that was either cheap or that I know I'll want to play in the near future. That's the Ancestral Edition for Darkest Dungeon. I already owned the base game but getting the bundle gave me a little more of a discount on all the DLC. It's one of the games on my "To Play in 2019" list, so it seemed like the right time to get all the content. Also went ahead and made the new thread because my laziness got me a slap on the wrist last year. 1
TheMightyEthan
Wow, we went 3 2 days before somebody bought something new, we are not very good consumerists. Edited January 3, 2019 by TheMightyEthan I can count
MetalCaveman
+ All DLC. Thought about picking up the character and mission DLC for the PS4 version, then checked the Steam sale just in case and it ended up being way WAY cheaper to just buy the game and all it's DLC on Steam, so yeah, yay for localised prices!
toxicitizen
This is one of those series I never got around to trying out, so I'm really glad they're releasing a remaster. Hopefully they're planning on doing the sequels, too.
toxicitizen
I tried telling myself that I would wait but the reviews just hit this morning and are pretty goddamn stellar, so I caved. I'm hyped as fuck over here because RE2 is basically my childhood. I didn't have a PS1, so I spent what felt like the longest goddamn time waiting for it to come to N64. And when it finally did, I played the shit out of it. So I'm in this weird zone where I kinda remember most of the game but not in any great detail. I don't think I've seen a single full trailer since E3 and I've avoided most of the smaller vids they've been releasing. I played the 1-Shot demo (very slowly and didn't manage to get very far) but that's about it. So, I'm pretty much going in as blind as I possibly could. Friday can't come quickly enough!!!
Mal
I only ran the 1-shot demo to see how well it ran on my PC. I'm all good and I think I can wait. Besides, if my brother gets it on the PS4 then I have access to that... later on I can play on PC to experience it in all its gory.
CorgiShinobi
Maybe if it had come out today I could have sneaked it in before KH3. Either of those games I want to focus on 100% and the reviews indicate that you'll be replaying RE2 Remake multiple times and it's fun each time. danielpholt
I decided I wanted to play something with my partner and um, well A Way Out seems to be very reluctant to go on sale so I grabbed this.. Now I just need her to stop playing on the PSVR.

TheMightyEthan
I'm waiting to see how good the PC port is in terms of performance, but I'm sure I'll be getting that at some point in the not-to-distant future. Pro-tip: Digital Foundry found on consoles that if you just put your console to sleep in between sessions then over time it will start running slower, but if you close all the way out of the game and reopen it then it will run fine. TheMightyEthan
I finally got sick of having to run a controller cable around the outside of the room from my gaming PC to where the TV is. 1
toxicitizen
It's only been a few months since I've played Zero but I am more than ready to start breaking bicycles on people's heads again.
Mal
I think it is time to upgrade from Old Faithful AKA my wired 360 pad. It'll be one less wire coming from my tower. And I guess my brother's PS4 has an extra controller now. In this house, we don't have none of the off brand 2nd player controller nonsense.

TheMightyEthan
@Mal Yeah, I debated just getting a bluetooth adapter instead of the Xbox wireless one for my PC and then using my DS4 instead of my Xbone controller, but ultimately decided against it because not all games support it natively outside of Steam, and I didn't want to have to fiddle with third-party software and I'm super anal about stuff like my button prompts lining up with the controller I'm using. Also my DS4's battery life isn't near as good as my Xbone controller. But welcome to the wireless PC controller club! It's so nice!
TheMightyEthan
The Fanatical Ancestor Bundle is $1.99 so now I own
toxicitizen
Pre-ordered on Steam, partially to get tokens for the lunar sale discount but also as a fail safe just in case Epic decide to get their fucking hands on this one too. It's cheaper on Fanatical, so if nothing happens I'll probably just refund it and get it from there at the last minute. I'm seriously considering doing the same thing with Sekiro... edit: Yeah, fuck it. I earned enough tokens to get an extra 6 bucks off and it's not actually available anywhere other than Steam, so it's not like I'll be getting a better deal than this. I was hesitant due to not knowing the system requirements but they just updated the Steam page with them and they're about as low as Dark Souls III, which is a pleasant surprise. Oh and speaking of Dark Souls, the remaster finally dropped low enough for me to bite so I grabbed it a few days ago along with a couple other things. Mister Jack
This game had a big price drop recently so now was the perfect time to scoop it up.
MetalCaveman
One of those days when you go out to look for a store that sells God Eater 3 and instead you return with an early(ish) copy of Metro Exodus.
TheFlyingGerbil
Not the Russian version, but since I'm trying to get along with Duck Duck Go instead of Google this is the sort of nonsense I have to put up with. Just need to decide if I should play this or Assassin's Creed Origins first.
TheMightyEthan
What's wrong with Google?
TheFlyingGerbil
while I'm not doing anything illicit online and I actually find it quite convenient that all the info you need is there in one place when you need it, it just makes me feel a bit dirty the way everything is collected about you but more they way these big companies seem so deceptive/evasive about what they have on you and what they do with it. It always seems to be more, and worse than what they admit to. honestly they way i half heartedly go about it I;;m probably just making my life harder for myself without truly going under the radar but I'm getting increasingly disillusioned with most aspects of the modern world and where it's headed I feel like I have to do something even if it is a futile effort. TCP
If you guys know anything about me, you know I've been wanting to play as Funky Kong since 1996.
TheMightyEthan
I want that game, but I refuse to pay $60 for a port of a Wii U game that isn't Zelda.
TCP
Think of it as $40 for the game and $20 for built in Funky DLC.
