This year was such than when I was looking at this thread, compiling the list, I was sure I had beaten some of these games years ago, nah, these were all from 2020. :P

Way better than I thought, and a nice mix of backlog and new games. \m/ \m/

I'm not going to do all the charts I've done in previous years, but I'm going to share a few stats*:

Overall Stats:

Total games: 34

Total playtime: 633 hours

Average playtime: 19 hours/game

Platforms: PC, PS4, PS5, Switch

Platform Stats:

Most games: PC, 15

Most playtime: PS4^, 297 hours

Most playtime per game: PS4^, 37 hours/game

Fewest games: PS5^, 4

Least playtime: PS5^, 72 hours

Least playtime per game: PC, 8 hours

It's not really surprising to me that PS5 has the fewest games and the least playtime, since it just came out. PS4 really got a boost on playtime from P5R at 113 hours, Ghost of Tsushima at 59 hours, and Death Stranding at 50 hours. On PC I played a whole bunch of small games, like Abzu, Man of Medan, etc, that really dragged down the platform playtime average. Overall I'd say it was a great year for games.

*The totals on here only reflect games I actually finished, they don't count other games I played.

^PS4 games that I played on PS5 via backwards compatibility I still counted as PS4 games, otherwise my PS5 totals would have been higher and the PS4 lower, though the PS4 average would have been even higher, because most of the shortest PS4 games I played on PS5.

Without Doom and Fear Metal's list would be half as long ?

Hey, he knows what he likes. I wish I had that dedication, tbh. So many times I told myself "gonna play through all games in series xyz!" only to lose interest after a single game and never follow up on it. ?

Also since everyone is posting lists. I couldn't be bothered to do my spreadsheet this year so this is mostly going to be from memory.

Bloodborne

Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Journey

Supraland

The Room Three

Death Stranding

Quantum Break

Alan Wake

Control

Witcher 3: Blood & Wine

Gears of War 4

That's actually a few more than I would've thought. I figured I had played no more than half a dozen or so. Witcher 3 and Death Stranding alone account for easily 2/3 of my playtime for the entire year lol. Shout out to the new Steam library letting me sort games by "Last played on", giving me a convenient list to scan through to jog my memory!

Oh shit wait, I guess I thought that was last year but there was overlap and I finished it in January; Bloodborne goes at the top of the list. Here's to 2021 being the year I finally get to play it on PC!
