Mister Jack
I just got back from True Grit. It was...funnier than I was expecting it to be, but given who was at the helm, maybe I should have seen that coming. Good movie, though. Strangelove
I finished seeing Ghost In The Shell 2.0 on bluray last night. Im not crazy about the new cgi. It's...iffy. its not terrible, but its not very good either. Thank goodness that the bluray contains the original version as well.

Gyaruson
Good! I've been trying to figure out a time to see that with my dad. That movie looks like it was freaking made with him in mind. You and I typically have pretty similar taste in movies, Clown, so that make me happy. Mister Jack
Man finally someone saw True Grit. I posted here wanting to talk about it but I got nothing. It made me sad.
c hoertjes
Jeff Bridges fuckin' owns, and the girl who plays Maddie Ross gives a ridiculous performance.
Mister Jack
I never saw the original True Grit, but maybe I should just to compare them. I had no idea what I was getting into, but Rooster Cogburn is one funny son of a bitch. I'd say he's my favorite Coen character but since it's a remake that might be cheating. D-K
Just watched "Oblivion Island: Haruka and the Magic Mirror", very decent anime, little disney'esque in terms of storytelling but the animation was phenomenal. I also haven't seen such colourful and detailed frames in .. well.. in like ever. The city is alive with a vast amount of different colours, art direction is great and the character models are done in a style I'm not familiar with, but was pleasantly surprised by. I recommend this movie.
Toshi
Just picked up Interview with a Vampire for $5, so that. I also kind of watched most of Tron Legacy... but I was distracted for the rest.

Mister Jack
Has she been in anything else?
c hoertjes
Nope, that was her very first role. 13 years old, selected from a pool of 15,000 applicants. She stole the show. Fantastic job.
Mister Jack
That is pretty damn impressive, especially considering the powerhouse talent she was up against in the film.

c hoertjes
How many previews did you guys have? We had EIGHT. It was ridic.
Mister Jack
It took me a bit to recognize him because of all the damn hair. I usually leave a few minutes late when I go to movies so I don't have to sit through most of the previews. c hoertjes
I'm very picky about where I sit so I try to get there early. And I don't mind the typical 3-4 previews most films have. But eight?!?!
MagicMagicPony
We had to wait in a line just to get into the movie. There were SO MANY commericals and then SO MANY "interviews" and then SO MANY GD PREVIEWS
Mister Jack
I had to wait outside in the cold for about 15 minutes to get my ticket. Oh, there was no line. There was just one guy ahead of me in line buying TWENTY FUCKING GIFT CARDS! And that's not an exaggeration.
c hoertjes
We went on Thursday night and the theater was only like 50% full. It was sweet.
