Johnny
I saw Vengeance (Fuk Sau) "A French chef swears revenge after a violent attack on his daughter's family in Hong Kong, during which her husband and her two children are murdered. To help him find the killers, he hires three local hit-men working for the mafia" Synopsis from rottentomatoes. And that's about all you can say about the story without spoiling it. I also quite recently saw The Social Network, but that's already got pretty much everyone shouting about how good it is, so you should already have it on your to watch list. Spoiler: it's just as good as they say.
SomTervo
The Mattie in the original was enjoyable to watch. Mattie in the remake was so fucking irritating. I hoped the Coen brothers would've changed the ending and had her not survive that tumble into the cave. I mean, they let Le Beouf live why not change the rest? Fucking spoilers dude. I can't unsee that shit!
Strangelove
The remake is actually more faithful to the book than the john waybe version. Its how its supposed to be. I liked mattie a lot in this one. Very talented actress.
Mr W Phallus
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzzlf9OH7x8 Saw this short film earlier today, at 4 minutes it worth watching. Shame the quality on that version isn't too good.

NeoStarr
This is a must-see. Don't spoil it for yourself though. It starts out looking a lot like a side project for a couple of amateur filmmakers, but when the big twist hits and they realize what they have on their hands the movie suddenly starts looking a lot more professional. It's pretty cool. Also, I've only seen 2 of the movies nominated for best picture this year and the main character got their arm cut off in both of them. Interesting trend. Hot Heart
'It's a good film, but it's not a documentary' is the best description I've heard for Catfish.
CorgiShinobi
On Catfish, what do you guys think: true or false? I have yet to watch it, but I've read up on it and I'm reading that things just tie-in and flow too perfect to be an impromptu-doc.
NeoStarr
100% true I think. I've heard a lot of people argue against it, just haven't heard their evidence. On the other hand, if it's fake, then the rest of Alisons life is going to be quite awkward (moreso). I don't think anyone would just sign off to that. You can't keep a secret like this; just look at that I'm Still Here movie; or read up on that Criminals Gone Wild dvd release.
deanb
Just finished Megamind. I'm not a huge Will Farrell fan but he was good in this, maybe he should just stick to VA. Soundtrack was pretty good too. Story felt a tad short. Also trailers ruined it with the whole thing about Metroman not being dead.

Hot Heart
Finished watching Red Cliff. It was good but not great. I think I expected far too much of it.
deanb
Oh yeah I watched Moulin Rouge the other day since Jala started playing some of the OST over the stream. First time I've seen it, pretty good, very catchy n powerful. My only dislike is that a lot of it is shot in close-ups and there's only so much of Jim Broadbents up close face you can take. Yantelope
Fact: Women don't like Moulin Rouge as much as men. I cried at the end. I must have been having a feminine day.

I cry at movies, books, television shows probably more than the girlfriend. I think it stopped being cute like a year ago, and now she just sort of shakes her head and sighs exasperated-like... unless she's crying too, and then it's okay. Stupid gender roles. I defy thee! TheForgetfulBrain
My Netflix queue is like... almost to 300 right now. It's a joke. But yeah, that's gonna go near the top - looks like a lot of fun.
staySICK
yea mine is p crazy too, I just keep bumping new movies to the the top. Currently we have The Town and RED, still need to watch the former.
TheForgetfulBrain
The Town was excellent. Saw that one in theaters, actually. There were actually a lot of really good movies during the last half of last year.
Yantelope
I really enjoyed RED as well. I was surprised too because the trailers for it looked like crap. Good movie.
