Last Good Movie You Saw

Watched Paranormal Activity 2 the other night.

People who enjoyed the first one should enjoy this one as well.

It's a bit unoriginal in the sense that it pretty much constantly tries to emulate and one up the first one, but at least it does it well.

Plus, I thought the ending was pretty good. It ties the movie nicely with the first one.

I watched The Troll Hunter the other day. It's a Norweigen movie done in the mockumentary style about a group of young film-makers who stumble upon a Troll Hunter and discover a government conspiracy to cover up the existence of trolls. It sounds corny as all hell but it's fairly well done, all things considered.

The last good movie I watched was the Fighter. It really suprised me!

I went to the movies expecting something average, but when the movie was over I was in awe of how good it really was.

There was probably nothing I didn't like about it. Especially the acting was really good. And even though Christian Bale and Melissa Leo stole the show, I think Mark Wahlberg held his own and did a good job too.

And in the end when they showed a clip of Micky and Dickie, you realized that they were, in real life, almost exactly like they were portrayed in the movie. And it showed how well the actors pulled off the roles.

Easy A

It was witty, smart, and didn't take itself seriously which is exactly what it needed to do. Emma Stone was great and really pulled off her character with an energy that it doesn't seem anyone else could have done. Amanda Bynes is probably the only bad thing thing about the movie. Bitch can't act. Anyways, think a "Mean Girls" style movie with a different direction and a more appealing and believable lead.

I kinda thought the exact opposite of Easy A. Seemed like the film was made by someone who hates christians but has never actually met a christian.

Hahahah, you were actually offended by how they handled the christian kids in that movie? Good lord (no pun intended.)

It just seemed like the director got bit by a christian as a kid and made this movie as a result. Didn't find it charming or witty or even very believable. I was mostly just insulted about the fan service to John Hughes. This movie is no John Hughes movie.

I just saw The Eagle last night. It was surprisingly excellent and I would highly recommend it. I really loved the direction in it even though some of the actors were slightly awful.

I love movies like this. Centurion made me happy. I will watch the Eagle. Centurion was reviewed poorly, but I lurved it to death and back.

Just disappointed kind of that the Eagle is a watered down PG-13.

I watched 'When Harry Met Sally' finally.

Not too shabby.

The Eagle is based on a children's book though so it's not surprising it's a PG-13. One thing that really puts me off going to see the film though is the fact they felt the need to change the title of the book. Apart from the fact 'The Eagle of the Ninth' just sounds better, if the the producers really felt that audiences couldn't handle a title with a whole 5 words in it, it doesn't give me much confidence in their intended audience.

IP Man?

Internet Protocol Man. Not the best of superhero films...

(He means 'Ip Man'. A biopic film about the guy who taught Bruce Lee, starring Donnie Yen, I believe)

'Hey, I never hearda the other eight Eagle films. This must suck!'

I watched Dog Day Afternoon last night. I'd actually seen all but the first fifteen minutes before so I'm still counting it. Great film.

I can't believe how off base you are here. Christianity was one of the least important things in the movie and the christian characters could have been replaced with any sort of "goodie two shoes" sorts of characters or hippies.

It was also not trying to be anything close to a john hughes movie. Easy A had a sense of humor. Thus poking fun at how cheesy yet endearing it was.
