SomTervo
Oculus Was not expecting something that good out of a film backed by the WWE. Like one of the better directed horror movies I've seen. And with twists! Man I gotta watch that. Good horror flicks are so hard to come by. Well, not counting pulp/ video nasties, which are their own brand of fun. Last decent horror I saw was... Dark Skies I think it's called? Real pity. Great, fantastic, ingenious idea... Pretty flawed execution. @Hottie: Cabin In The Woods is one of my favourites. In my experience it's a really easy sell, because you just say "oh it's a horror movie. And there are hot teenagers." For most people I know, that sells it. Then I absolutely relish the next hour and half watching everything they ever knew be destroyed and inverted. Hot Heart
Guardians of the Galaxy. So, so good. I think I spent most of the film with a smile on my face, if not a stupid grin. Bradley Cooper was brilliant as Rocket and Bautista was a real surprise, stealing a bunch of scenes, too. The whole cast were really good, but some definitely under-used. The only real problem is that some of the larger-scale action, while still good, lacked some oomph or sense of peril (Whedon is criticised for his cinematic action still looking very 'TV' but it's full of purpose and character and easy to follow) and there are some real script irks for me. Mostly it's the really bad expository dialogue but there are some other blips, too. Nothing majorly bad, but somewhat undermined some of the moments. Definitely go see it. Might be my favourite of the Marvel films if not second or third.
deanb
Oh yeah, Guardians of the Galaxy. Probably one of the best films I've watched in a long while, only major issues I have with it is now I've mulled over it Starlords tape likely would have been totally fucked after 26 years, and I can't go in cryostasis for the Blu-Ray release. I'm waiting for the rest of you guys to catch up then can start batting thoughts off each other.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, just got back, it's really good. It's not my favorite Marvel movie, but it's definitely up there.
Mr. GOH!
Guardians of the galaxy. Very, very fun. Ronan was disappointing. The central ensemble was fantastic.

CorgiShinobi
If it makes you feel better, all I have going for me in the relative future is seeing Guardians of the Galaxy this Saturday evening. After that it's back to my mundane life.
Mister Jack
I'm not going to have time to see it until Tuesday or Wednesday at the absolute earliest. I hate you all.
Strangelove
22 Jump Street. Its actually funnier than the first. Loved it. It also possibly has the best ending credits ever.
Strangelove
Batman: Assault on Arkham. There's so little Batman in this movie, though it doesnt have anything to do with the quality. Its really good. Troy Baker once again kills it as Joker. Though it kind of bothers me when they make Joker a really good fighter. It just doesnt seem right. Though I guess that makes him more equal to Batman.

Waldorf and Statler
Guardians of the Galaxy The humor and dialogue was brilliant, straight out of a Whedon film. The actors really delivered, and being a huge Chris Pratt fan I'm glad that this will get him a lot of star power (outside of his minor roles in big movies). I gotta give props to Bradley Cooper, he really sold me on Rocket Raccoon. This might now be my favorite Marvel movie.

Though I guess that makes him more equal to Batman. Generally, Joker's portrayed as really deadly hand-to-hand, but not because he's a trained specialist like Bats or because he's determined. He's lethal just because he's utterly ruthless, cunning and extremely experienced. Is that another one of those animated Batman movies which are apparently really good? I really want to see Guardians of the Galaxy now! But Dawn of the Planet Of The Apes is top of my list, and it's more likely to leave cinemas soon. Mister Jack
OH MY GOD YOU GUYS I SAW GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY AND IT WAS SO FRIGGIN COOL AND HILARIOUS AND FUN AND I WANT THE BLURAY AND THE SEQUEL AND THE INEVITABLE AVENGERS TIE-IN RIGHT NOW YOU GUYS.
Waldorf and Statler
I'm glad it did as well as it did opening weekend. And with nothing major coming out next weekend to give it much competition, outside of expendables 3 which I hope most of America has given up on, they'll have another stellar weekend and keep making money. And get a sequel.
Mister Jack
Ninja Turtles might overtake Guardians next week but I swear to god it better fucking not.
staySICK
Guardians of the Galaxy. What can I say that hasn't been said? CorgiShinobi
Finally got to see Guardians of the Galaxy! Super awesome! I'll have to let the hype settle to properly gauge it among my list of Marvel movie. A lot of quotable moments and great action, though my one complaint would be that the antagonist wasn't that stellar compared to the likes of other Marvel movie villains. Otherwise, I'll have to look into pelvic sorcery if I get the soundtrack. P.S. Anyone think Merle's telepathic arrow was a bit cheap? No skill, man... NO SKILL!
Mister Jack
That arrow was sorta based on an actual weapon used by his comic version. Come on, though, you have to admit that one scene was awesome. You know the one I mean.
CorgiShinobi
Eh, I'll admit it was awesome. Just, eh, I'm not a fan of those kind of powers and/or weapons. The wielder just standing there while there's a "fight."
madbassman39
Saw Guardians of the Galaxy. I have to say I let the hype get the better of me and was expecting something to change the way I look at Marvel films. I would say its one of the top Marvel IMHO, but the hype just let me build up to be disappointed. After thinking about it for some time I realized that it is great, but after the movie ended I was still waiting for the movie to blow me away. I can't wait for the sequel, nor can I wait for the blu-ray so I can watch it over and over again.
