arbitarty
I don't think he did. I heard that limiting the framerate may help. So far, nothing concrete has appeared. http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=191499&p=2908235#p2908235 Those folks on there has the same or very close to the problem you have. Just to throw some more strangeness into the mix. The reason I haven't been on for a month or so is that I was experiencing the same things but worse. It would take 10 to 15 tries to connect to the server, when I did finally get on I would have chat lag of 5 mins or so, and chunks would take over a minute to load. No it's not a connection issue. However, since the update this has all been resolved, right around the time that rtar started getting the issue. Strange no?

But seriously, if they pull this off well, it will boost the games popularity so much. Any word on multiplayer?

Bizzenya
That Chrono Trigger texture/mod/skin set is incredible. I wish my recreation of Happy Happy Village had a tenth of the fidelity that rendition of Zeal had.

Pirandello
For those of you who don't like playing singleplayer to survive (like me), and would rather just skip the the epic building moments with unlimited resources, this will be of very much interest to you. VOILA! An in-game inventory editor. Enjoy. TooManyItems mod - Minecraft

VOILA! An in-game inventory editor. Enjoy. TooManyItems mod - Minecraft Niiice. Certainly saves me the trouble of logging out to fiddle with invedit. Although, truthfully, what really bugs me are the climbing spiders. Ever since that little update I've lost a lot of interest in creating structures. Everyone says, "Oh, use the lip technique!" but it looks so atrocious. I mean, since when has Minecraft been about reality? You punch trees. Everyone says, "Oh, use the lip technique!" but it looks so atrocious. I mean, since when has Minecraft been about reality? You punch trees. Yeah, I hate the spiders, too. Maybe Notch should put in pungi sticks or barbed wire for the top of my walls or something that can deter spiders from doing that.
AgamemnonV2
Honestly the climbing ability should be tied to difficulty. I tried to mention this once the update came out and I was drowned by a sea of fanboys that screamed and screamed until I went away.
TheMightyEthan
Tying it to difficulty is a really good idea, actually. I've always been more for underground lairs myself, though, so it doesn't really matter all that much to me personally one way or the other. That and the fact that I like how overhanging ramparts look anyway.
deanb
http://www.instructa...d-Creeper-Doll/ And via Notch: -Wolves get wet -Crops get watered -Higher chance of catching fish -Fires get put out -May fill out holes, he thinks it could get annoying though. edit: making it in this material seems like it'd have nicer results than the felt above: http://thumb-culture.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/Minecraft-Camoflague-Creeper-Costume.jpg
AgamemnonV2
Wolves already get wet. Take them in the water and bring them out. And finally, he's bringing back snow. I suppose rain isn't that difficult either when there's a few mods that do that already. Also, apparently they've set a release date for Minecraft, which he plans to announce on his blog soon. deanb
Oh the wolves getting wet (and everything else in that list) is an effect of the rain. Though if you read his twitter I guess you'll know that

Mal
Skyrim release date too. So I would expect dragons to make an appearance then! (Along with a spoof trailer)

deanb
http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/04/19/download-the-minecraft-demo/ Not played Minecraft yet? Wanting to see what it's all about? Only ever played Creative and been told "oh no that's nothing like the full game!" Well PC Gamer now have a proper demo for the beta release. It lasts 90 minutes which isn't a bad length of time. McBeeferton
http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/595809294166558181/398F0470DEDDCA9284EEB36EC2CED5CA443F26CA/ It started to rain in my game for the first time. Fucking scared me at first. No lightning, though. Very cool effect, but it does kind of slow the game down a tad. That picture (if you can see it) was taken in the middle of the day. Looks kind of dark, doesn't it? There wasn't any warning, it just went dark and suddenly started raining. AgamemnonV2
Yeah, rain is pretty sudden. Also it doesn't seem like the instance updates when you create an overhang of sorts, so it continues to "rain" through objects created while its raining.
