Johnny
P.P.S. People need to stop with this "would of, could of, should of" thing. It's would Have! G'damnit! *ahem* Sorry, just seeing it more and more lately and it's starting to annoy me. I blame Dean.
Mal
Eh, its not greed. I think when it comes to legality of things, he's saying yes to whatever his lawyers are telling him. The lawyers are paid to do what they can in the best financial business of Mojang. Not sure how Carl I think, the CEO, plays in all this. I doubt the rest have much say in what goes on. Hell, I think they see the stupidity of the last move but they just can't say it to their boss' face. But yeah, what's best for the company's finances and IP isn't what best for its image... and image is worth far far more.

AgamemnonV2
Niiice. Finally, a new feature. And I lol'd at him wondering if 65,536 maps was enough (although I suppose I could sort of seeing it being a problem on big servers with lots of folks). Perhaps books are next on the horizon? Mal
Actually, if I read correctly from one of his tweets, books are coming. Along with custom paintings. Guess I will have to look out for pixelated porn now. And I think that amount of maps is enough at the moment since most worlds don't see pass two months of life. It could be a problem though when a server, as you said, has tons of people and last for a very long time. So pretty much when Minecraft is "finished". Maps on walls... hrmm. Pirandello
Anybody know a good mod manager for Minecraft? I'm currently using Minecrafter with TooManyItems but it always ends up giving me black screens. And I lose progress when it does.

Hocking
Very nice list of fixes, pleased to see he's sought to resolve a lot of the bugs before pushing more new features again. I am disappointed about adding rain sounds to fast graphics though. I've been switching to fast graphics when it rains to avoid the rain sound, it drives me absolutely bonkers. Guess I'll have to look at replacing the sound file within the .jar with white noise.

Enervation
The problem a lot of people claim with the YouTube player in a map is bandwidth usage, as well as Minecraft performance in general. Having an actual video playing inside the game doesn't work so well for both the bandwidth and the machine, and I think the creator of the mod stated himself that the videos he had demoing there were on his machine, and had the search function pointed to localhost to prevent too much bandwidth usage. Interesting idea, but still needs some work. Watch as people Facebook from Minecraft. Fuck.

Mal
So yeah, Minecraft on the 360 with Kinect. They sure are spreading themselves far too thin. Solidify the core game before spreading like this. I really don't recall any update EVER that come out without a hitch. If they pull off updates without any major problems, then I would be fine with them expanding but in its current state? Fuck no. Mr. GOH!
So who will be paying for it again on 360? Because I'd bet dollars to donuts that Notch breaks his "pay once for all versions" promise. He's laughing all the way to the bank, where he'll put your money in the account he's using to make a computer trading card game.
deanb
Heh, they changed the EULA when it changed to Alpha for "legal reasons" so that offer isn't on the cards anymore. I don't get how it will run given 360 has 512MB shared RAM, n Minecraft on PC kinda likes having access to 1GB or more. Unless it's Creative?(even then...) Also how will it work with Kinect. MC on 360 kinda makes sense, MC for Kinect makes none at all. Thing is MS fuck over indies. Very long history of it. So unsure how Mojang will cope partnering up with MS.
