TheMightyEthan
No, because it was on the PS1, and I did not have enough room on the memory card.
slatz_grobnik
I think I was bawling at about the last half-hour of Persona 3. That I'm a maudlin drunk didn't help. I'm not proud to say, but I got teary at Halo 3's opener. It hit all the right epic SF notes for the Big Finish.
Mister Jack
This Mass Effect 2 trailer made me feel things I didn't understand.Freaking epic, y'all.
TheForgetfulBrain
Couldn't you guys just load an older save game...? You'd think so, but I think I saved over my old games before I found out she was gone for good, or something like that.

Yantelope
Lost Odyssey. When Kaim's daughter that he dreamt about for years dies in his arms. I thought it was sad but it was the first time you meet her and then bam, she's dead. I didn't feel like I had any attachment to the character and so although it was a sad moment it felt kind of forced.
Hot Heart
Yeah, that bit in Lost Odyssey wasn't terribly moving but some of the short stories were really good.
Yantelope
Yeah, that bit in Lost Odyssey wasn't terribly moving but some of the short stories were really good. That seemed to be the ultimate irony of the game. It seemed like a lot of those short stories were very touching, so much so that they made the story of the actual game less interesting. I ended up wishing they had just made the game out of the short stories. I really liked Lost Odyssey but they main story's ending was just so bleh. Cyber Rat
Silent Hill 2: the "In Water" ending teared me all up when Mary's letter said "James, please have your life back."
mintycrys
It was really only about four or five of the dreams in Lost Odyssey that were real depressing. The very first one, "Hanna's Departure," is one of the two largest offenders, however. Hey, here's a short story about Kaim witnessing a sickly girl's dying breaths on her deathbed interspersed with flashbacks of watching her try to enjoy life in whatever small capacity she had for it beforehand! HAVE FUN LOL!1
TheForgetfulBrain
The quest in Jade Empire with the drowned orphans in Chapter 2, after completing it, made me tear up a bit. Can't believe I never really played past Chapter 1 in this game till now!

Nexus
Persona 3 and 4 are the only two things to have made me cry. 3 and 4 spoilers: Persona 3: When Shinji dies, and the end. Persona 4: When Nanako dies/almost dies. Edited February 18, 2011 by Nexus
Pirandello
The only "game" that ever made me cry was the visual novel for Clannad. I suppose games in particular aren't really good at eliciting sadness from me. Most of the time, it's pity, not sadness.

P4: Gritty Reboot
I'm kind of a pansy and have cried at the following games: Half-Life 2: Episode 2 Mass Effect 1 & 2 20 hours into Chrono Trigger and have teared up several times.
McBeeferton
Never has a game engaged me enough to make me cry. Though the most emotional was probably the end of Red Dead Redemption.

Enervation
I have not cried every at any video game. I frankly find them kind of irritating since usually when these emotionally charged scenes pop up, I've just finished a 1-2 hour rush of blowing people's heads off. Not to mention I find sad scenes funny as feck.
FredEffinChopin
I've cried at games a little more than I'd like to admit.... Except I'm admitting it. I actually can't recall which have done it off the top of my head though. The only one I remember was the FFVIII ending, when Squall encounters himself as a child. I'm such a sap. You must! Get the PC version though, apparently it has a bunch of extra content, and the visuals aren't too shabby done high-res.
