Mister Jack
Would the ps3 code give me the armor in the PC version? I do have an EA account.
TheMightyEthan
Dunno whether it puts the DLC on your EA account or on your PSN account. If you've got a gaming PC though, why did you get Dead Space on PS3?
Mister Jack
Two reasons. One, I prefer using a gamepad for games like this and even though it might work on a PC, I just like being able to relax in front of my HDTV. When I go with the PC version on a game, it's because I specifically want the mouse and keyboard. Two, I got the version that came with Dead Space: Extraction because I own a Move. TheMightyEthan
Ah yeah, see I play on a monitor on my desk whether I'm on PC or console (except Wii), I prefer it over the TV, but #2 makes sense to me.
Strangelove
I wont get my ce til tomorrow since i work all day today. Cant wait to get my grubby little hands on it. i wonder how shitty the plasma cutter is though. Anyone heard anything? I wonder if i can get the regular edition if i preordered the ce at gamestop.... CorgiShinobi
It's a nice toy is all I've heard. I hope no one was expecting a life-size replica.
Mister Jack
I think it's a flashlight because it has a bulb and battery compartment.
Mercurial
It's tiny as fuck I still got it anyways, but ya...Anyhow really fun so far on chapter 5 Also the batteries, if there are any...probably not, don't work and I don't have the screw driver to get the thing open. CorgiShinobi
I think it's a flashlight because it has a bulb and battery compartment. I thought it had LED lights for the three laser sights. I don't know if the thing actually twists, but it's built to look like the thing (downscaled of course). EDIT: Haha, Google Search actually pulled through on finding a decent image. EDIT2: I guess talking on the phone and typing a post makes me slow, bro. Mercurial
No it doesn't twist. It's 4 LEDs. One for the light and 3 for the lasers. Edited January 26, 2011 by Hakidia
excel_excel
http://kotaku.com/5743018/review-dead-space-2-is-insanely-terrifying Kotaku reviews up! Can't wait for it, getting it for PC for sure now. Nice to see Archaotic hasn't even played the game but is an expert on it.

MetalCaveman
I'm (hopefully) picking my copy of the CE tomorrow, PS3 version thanks to DS extraction \m/ \m/ Edit: Anyone else that has played the PS3 version, does it have the "custom soundtrack" option? Edited January 26, 2011 by MetalCaveman
Mister Jack
It says it does on the box.
TheMightyEthan
Why would you want to use a custom soundtrack in a game like Dead Space? It would fuck up the atmosphere, which is like what the game is...
Strangelove
Custome soundtrack for multiplayer, broseph. Also. Archaotic knows everything about videogames before he plays it.

This: Custome soundtrack for multiplayer, Also, after the first time I play through a game I like to have the option to listen to my own music, as stupid as it sounds, I prefer having my music during gameplay, instead of the normal sounds, it's much more fun like that to me
CorgiShinobi
I'll get the PS3 version, but I already have Extraction. If I had Move, I would go for it and trade-in the Wii version, but I don't think I'm going to spend $100 to play one game.
Mister Jack
Well it's actually 80, but I get your point. Unless you're in the UK or something, in which case maybe it is.

I would want to spring for the starter pack that comes with Sports Champions. Of course, if I had coupons or gift cards, I'd go for the basics. Mister Jack
Oh I read that wrong. I thought you meant 100 for the collectors edition of Dead Space. Never mind. But yeah, my Move was a gift.
Strangelove
Ugh...silent hill weaboos at kotaku are annoying. Some people are scared of shadows...ghosts....clowns.............puppies. im not making any of that up. Being scared of one thing isnt better than being scared of another. Being scared by ANY videogame is illogical and idiotic since there are no repercussions. Its all psychological. Shut up.
Mal
Hell no! If it can scare me in my dreams, then it is real enough! Thus my fear! ;_; PS: I never beat the first game. PSS: I think I will go play and beat Dead Space now. New game goal. Edited January 26, 2011 by MaliciousH

I haven't noticed any of them, unless they're concentrating solely in the Silent Hill Downpour article. As for DS2, just watched the GameTrailers review since I don't like reading text reviews. I like to see the game in action as I hear criticism for it. Definitely say that watching people necromorph is something new in this one, eh? Just because YOU didn't find it scary doesn't mean other people didn't as well. And what really got to me was him complaning it was less scary. even though all the reviews say its scarier. AND HE DIDN'T PLAY THE GAME
