toxicitizen
Digital Deluxe Edition is currently the star deal on Fanatical and also happens to be the historical low price. With P5R finally coming to PC in 10 days, I have no more reason not to get this. It's still baffling to me that the spin-off sequel released on Steam literally years before the base game but at least the nonsense is finally coming to an end.
toxicitizen
The last thing I need is more games to play right now but I saw that Code Vein was down to like 8 bucks for the Deluxe Edition and it finally made me go "fuck it, I've been wanting to try it for years". And then I thought to check if Scarlet Nexus was also discounted and that one was more of an impulse purchase. 1
danielpholt
Reviews seem super positive on it, so I'm more than happy to throw £40 at it, even though I know it'll go cheap pretty quick.
TheMightyEthan
Hell yeah, it's the game I'm legit most excited about for the rest of the year.
toxicitizen
It's finally here I was hoping to play it at midnight but I slept like shit all week and crashed pretty hard around 10PM. It's gonna be a long day... 1

Mister Jack
Yeah, I know it's not as good as 2, but it's currently on sale on Steam at a huge discount so I figure it's at least worth 12 bucks. 2
Mister Jack
Got a discounted refurbished one. The Facebook requirement is gone now, which was what kept me away. All you need is an email address. 2

Mister Jack
Okay this is probably the last one until the next Steam sale.
TheMightyEthan
... what is it?
Mister Jack
Probably the most in-depth vr gun simulator that exists right now. It also includes some modes where you shoot at armed enemies who just happen to be talking hot dogs.

deanb
One of these bad boys. Obviously the first thing I played was the near 30 year old PS1 game Final Fantasy IX (though with Moguri Mod so it looked fab) Feels amazing, just a right amount of heft (though I wonder if it had more battery in that would have been an okay compromise). Only issue is a couple of the software side of things but can be easily tweaked - mainly in that the library has no filters on it except an overall "Great on Steam Deck" and your pre-made collections, so I'm having to make up some collections on the PC to filter a bit more finely. Also means you have to click through to find what the install size will be - which for a few games can mean that while they'll play great I ain't installing them due to being half the size of my storage. Which at the moment there's also no background/standby download and install so you need to set it away and leave the deck chugging along. But otherwise enjoying - great for the little games. Also plentyu of 3D printer support too so docks a plenty for major brand of USBC hubs (shame that british plug is a bit too thicc to fit in the back strap - there's US n EU plug cable tidies that fit right in the snug of the case). And support for PS Remote Play, GOG, Epic etc with quite a simple bit of work (at most some copy pasting to the Terminal).

So I got Scarlet Nexus on a whim/sale and (esp as early on not many PS5 titles) and it was really weirdly fun. Took a bit to get what it was aiming for in game play - especially as early on it does that thing of forcing the party composition and also there's a lot of names (and relations between people) to keep track of so the story was a bit confusing at start (and tbf it's still kinda whacky - peak anime kinda stuff) but intriguing. Fun and funky enemy designs too.
toxicitizen
Normally I'd never pre-order so far in advance but Voidu has a 30% off code that works on basically everything and I don't anticipate finding a better deal than that. I'm basically getting the deluxe edition for 30 bucks off. I was tempted to grab more like Miles Morales but my playthrough of P5R has kinda slowed down over the last week so I don't anticipate being done with it anytime soon.

toxicitizen
My friends and I played a shit ton of Vermintide 1 and 2, so this is a no-brainer.

TheMightyEthan
With the sequel coming out I've been meaning to replay Outer Worlds and play the expansions, which I've heard good things about, and even though the base game is on Game Pass the full collection was almost as cheap on Steam (through cdkeys) as just the expansion pass was on the MS store, and I don't like buying DLC for games I don't own, so I decided just to buy the whole thing this way. toxicitizen
What's that? I bought a brand new monitor less than a year ago? Well, it's not an ultrawide ok?! Shut up, Ethan!!! But yeah, I've been eyeing this particular model all year and was already considering buying it as a personal reward/celebration. And then they finally announced the release date for the Witcher 3 update and gave me the final little push I needed. TheMightyEthan
I want a new monitor, but I just can't justify it when I spend probably 90% of my PC gaming time on the TV anyway.
toxicitizen
Yeah, if you have a nice TV that you play PC games on then a high-end monitor probably isn't worth it. In my case, it's not just for games. My PC is basically my TV as well. I watch everything on it. That makes high-end monitors significantly more appealing. I'm sure eventually I'll want to upgrade again to a 32:9 monitor...
