danielpholt
Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course Feels like this one has been in development for 4-5 years already (which IIRC was how OG Cuphead went?). Should be out in the summer months. Bayonetta III You know how sometimes you just want to slay a fuck load of angels whilst making pithy comments about the size of their appendages and I dunno, having your hair turn into a giant demon-dog thingy? That. Hogwarts Legacy JKR aside, I still really like the world of Harry Potter and I think we're due a good game within this universe. It'll probably suck, but here's hoping. Splatoon 3 I spent an awful lot of time playing Splatoon 2 in the year after it came out. I'm well up for more of that now, only I've got the added bonus of having a 4 year old who I think would absolutely love the core idea of this game. I've no doubt missed a few, but there we are. What are you most looking forward to in 2022?
Thursday Next
Horizon: Forbidden West A brilliantly realised world, I hugely enjoyed the Zoid's and the ways to take different ones down. Apparently there are upgrades to human enemies which was really the only weak point in the game imo. Can't wait to see what comes next. God of War: Ragnorok Even if it is more of the same, I am hugely looking forward to taking down another pantheon. PSVR2 I thought PSVR was great in terms of accessibility, the only thing that let it down for me was the number of cables required and the fact that you had to sacrifice HDR (or 4K?) as the VR box didn't do pass-through. It sounds like the upgrade fixes all my issues with the original kit (especially the one usb c cable to connect), plus lots of extra upgrades like the controllers, inside out tracking, eye tracking make it sound amazing. Mister Jack
Definitely PSVR 2 for me. I actually have some VR games sitting unplayed right now because I want to wait and experience them the right way with proper controllers and a better headset. I'm also really crossing my fingers that VR modes on PS5 games will become a lot more common. I was playing Far Cry 6 with a buddy of mine last night and we were both talking about how the series is pretty formulaic but even if nothing else changed a Far Cry 7 with a VR mode would make it feel like a whole new game. TheMightyEthan
PSVR2 is cool, and I also have some VR games unplayed because I don't want to go through the hassle of connecting the box, but I'm not "excited" for some reason. I also don't have a lot of faith that it will support PSVR1 games, which would suck. My real answer is Horizon: Forbidden West though. I loved the first one, and while there are some other games I'm looking forward to nothing else scheduled for this year even comes close in hype factor for me. toxicitizen
Elden Ring: It's gonna be the best. Game of the year! Hollow Knight: Silksong: It's gonna be the best! Indie Game of the year! The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Zero: Fucking finally! Honestly not sure if there's anything else that comes remotely close for me. I'm excited for Sony's PC ports I guess, but the only two that are confirmed right now are God of War and Uncharted 4, both of which I've already played through PSNow (not Lost Legacy, though). Since these two are coming early in the year, hopefully there'll be more. Spider-Man and Ghost of Tsushima would definitely be up there for me. There's also been some hints that Horizon: Forbidden West will come to PC fairly quickly. Hopefully that'll prove true and will apply to God of War: Ragnarok as well. I don't expect them until at least 6+ months from the console launch though, so they'd be late 2022 at best.
Mister Jack
I don't know how I forgot Elden Ring. I already have it preordered on Amazon and I literally never preorder games anymore.

Horizon Zero Dawn is probably one of my favourite games from the last few years, and one of the few things that might force me to seek out a PS5. That first game is something else. MetalCaveman
Elden Ring: It's going to be great, I can't wait! Dead Space Remake: Really hope it does come out this year, also hope they can preserve the atmosphere of the original. Callisto Protocol: This and Dead Space in the same year would be awesome, been looking forward to it since the first trailer came out. Armored Core VI: There's rumours that this may be in the works, obviously won't be coming out this year, but a simple announcement or teaser would make my year lol. TheFlyingGerbil
I feel like Breath of The Wild 2 won't actually be out this year but is the only game I am actually looking forward too. I'm interested to see how different the new Pokemon Legends: Arceus game is to others in the series I have some (probably unfounded) hope that it will finally be the Pokemon game I actually will enjoy.

Yeah, BotW2 would top HFW for me, but I don't believe for a second it's coming this year.
