Mister Jack
20 is too much. If it was 5 or maybe 10 I'd say yes, but unless you're REALLY into making creatures you'll see it all in a couple hours.
toxicitizen
Well 20 is for the complete pack. I could get the base game alone for like 7.50$... But I figured if I do get it I might as well get the whole package while it's so cheap.
TheMightyEthan
Yeah, I'd definitely recommend the base game for $7.50, not the complete pack though. The add-ons don't really add anything of value.
deanb
I wouldn't suggest it. I was thoroughly underwhelmed.
toxicitizen
Oh well, I grabbed the base game for 7.50$. It's installing right now. I'll try to think of it as an expensive demo I'll take a break from Metro 2033 and play it for a few hours tonight. If I really like it, I might grab the expansions. Buying separately costs a penny more than the bundle... so yeah, I think I'll survive. If it's meh, I'll only have wasted like 8 bucks. So no big loss there. I'm really tempted to grab Bully as well. The PC version used to be insanely broken, but I heard it's been patched and works fine now. I own the PS2 version and completed it years ago, but it might be worth 4$ to see the extra content in the scholarship edition. I remember liking the game a lot. deanb
I guess the end was fun. But it was basic in every element. My younger sister enjoys it but for an experienced gamer its like duplo. Its somewhat fun but you know you have access to things much more fulfilling. toxicitizen
Yeah, I really don't expect something very in-depth. But I keep hearing that even though every aspect of the game is very basic, that the game as a whole is more than the sum of its parts. Guess I'll find out in 30mins. TheMightyEthan
I guess the end was fun. Are you referring to Spore? The space stage was my least favorite part. The game is slowly building into a more and more complex strategy game, and then all of a sudden I have to try to manage a vast interstellar empire with a single ship? WTF? I still liked the game quite a bit though.
toxicitizen
Hahaha the space stage has to be the most divisive of them all. I either hear that it's the most boring part of the game, or that it's the best and that everything else is worth playing just to get to it. deanb
@ethan no the /end/ of the game. It does have an ending. Did you not notice there's a certain part of the galaxy that's very difficult to get to? That your ship upgrades prepped you for? I'd suggest a quick YouTube search. TheMightyEthan
Oh, no, I did that. I don't remember what was so special about it though, except that you get the ray of life or whatever (which has limited uses, wtf is that about?!). toxicitizen
Well I played up until the tribal part and so far I like it. Simple but fun. Also, the creator creator actually impressed me. I'd never messed around with it so I was surprised to see how quickly my creature changed in just a few clicks. I can see myself messing around in there a lot, so I grabbed the Creepy & Cute pack as well.
Mal
Lets see... I will get Recettear since I pirated that game in the first place but now I'll buy it... to lessen my guilt. Its a great game. I think I'll go get Just Cause 2. It was a fun game to play and that was only the demo. It will be a great game to just screw around in. staySICK
Well I played up until the tribal part and so far I like it. Simple but fun. that's about as far as I got as well. and yet Darkspore still intrigues me. I'll never learn. also: I'm still looking for a decent deal / game THAT THEY DON'T HAVE to gift to someone in repayment, I feel like a prick. Mal
And today it is... Mass Effect! May I finally get how awesome this game is or will I be disappointed!? And damn, this is adding up...
Mr. McFluffermutton
I see Darksiders is only $10. Was the game any good?
toxicitizen
Is Darksiders worth it? I just started playing it on PS3 and I'm not disappointed. I kept hearing that it was kind of a mix between The Legend of Zelda and God of War. But so far I'm maybe 3-4 hours in and it's definitely more God of War than Zelda. As a fan of Zelda who doesn't want a Wii and was looking for a fix, that was a bit disappointing. But the game is still pretty good so far and I hear it gets better later on, so yay. Though it's one of those games I personally can't imagine playing without a controller. And I'm usually more of a PC gamer.
TheMightyEthan
That's funny, it definitely gave me my Zelda fix. @McFlufferton: I paid $45 for the 360 version, and was not disappointed. $10 would definitely be worth it, especially if it works with a game pad. TheForgetfulBrain
I see Darksiders is only $10. Was the game any good? I bought that today and ACII yesterday. Now just for a sale on ACI!
TheMightyEthan
Was Rome Total War already one of the Daily Deals?
staySICK
I see Darksiders is only $10. Was the game any good? bought it on my PS3 for full retail. Really enjoyed what I've played of it. (PS3 died, trapping it inside, by the time I got it back I was on to other games)
toxicitizen
Was Rome Total War already one of the Daily Deals? One of the Total War games was, I think. But I'm pretty sure it wasn't Rome. Think it was either Empire or Napoleon.
Mr. GOH!
Darksiders is all right for what it is; an easy puzzle game with mediocre combat and a juvenile setting/storyline. I had fun with it.
TheMightyEthan
Has anyone else been as underwhelmed by this year's Christmas sale as I have?
deanb
I think its a mix of getting stuff last year and this years games just being a bit underwhelming overall so not much new worth getting. BTW was yesterday just a round up?
