Faiblesse Des Sens
18% of the users own 28% of the games. Don't overlook that.
Baconrath
When did pre-order rewards become a thing? Valve pls Steem is not Kakklesterter
FredEffinChopin
The Steam app for Android got a handsome new update. It looks much more in-line with the aesthetic of the OS now. I haven't gotten to play with it too much, but it looks good so far.
Mister Jack
About god damn time they put the update on android.
Baconrath
Now I don't have to remember to hit Exit Application because now it closes like every other android app.

Mal
Today I learned of switching download servers. The Los Angeles' servers were being hammered but a quick switch to San Diego's servers has me going from 80-60 mins download time to about 20 mins. deanb
https://medium.com/steam-spy/preliminary-results-for-steam-sales-in-2015-43bb49a767bd#.5rva09m70 I imagine this may fluctuate in next two weeks (though not by much). CSGO is doing bonkers considering it's pretty old at this point. Interesting to see the differences (i.e you guys don't een have FM 2016 in your list)

deanb
http://store.steampowered.com/sale/lionsgate Lionsgate now releasing films on Steam. A pretty shitty selection of films at that.

toxicitizen
Who needs video games on Steam when we got this? It's a shame they're only rentals, though. I could've been tempted to grab some if they were purchases.
deanb
Huh, hadn't even noticed they were rentals, that's even worse a deal given the price.
deanb
http://store.steampowered.com/news/22883/ Valve actually responded to the whole CSGO gambling thing that's been going around of late. Which is surprising, they're normally quiet most of the time (which I think is getting more and more of a problem tbh). But I guess the end bit threatening legal action is likely why they're publicly responding to the issue.
Mister Jack
Has anyone else been having this weird issue with steam lately where when you alt-tab out of a game and then go back to it, it brings the overlay up when you hit the shift key? It only does it once so it's more of an annoyance than anything, but it didn't used to do that to me.
deanb
What's the default overlay? Might be what key combo you have it down as? (shift+tab maybe?). I changed mine yonks ago so no clue what the default is, just it messed with some games.
TheMightyEthan
Default is shift+tab.
Mister Jack
I'm still on the default. It's just weird because I never had that issue until about a month ago. Why now?
toxicitizen
This is more Valve-related but I figure this thread is close enough. Kinda crazy. The first PC I built (in 2009) was in large part because "now I'll be able to run Half-Life 2 Episode 3 no problem!". Yet here we are, roughly 7 years and a completely new build later and still no sign of it.
TheMightyEthan
Steam is building DS4 support directly into the program, so any game that supports Steam controllers will now also support the DS4 without having to mess around with other programs. http://www.pcgamer.com/valve-is-adding-full-dualshock-4-configurability-to-steam/
deanb
Steam have messaged devs to use the screenshots for actual screenshots and not bullshots/pre-rednered cinemative/concept artwork etc. We haven’t been super crisp on guidelines for screenshots in the past, so we’d like to take this opportunity to clarify some rules in this space. When the ‘screenshot’ section of a store page is used for images other than screenshots that depict the game, it can make it harder for customers to understand what the product is that they are looking at. Additionally, we’re going to start showing game screenshots in more places as described above, and these images need to be able to represent the game. We ask that any images you upload to the ‘screenshot’ section of your store page should be screenshots that show your game. This means avoiding using concept art, pre-rendered cinematic stills, or images that contain awards, marketing copy, or written product descriptions. Please show customers what your game is actually like to play. I can't for the life of me think what game and actions against said game might have prompted them for this rules clarification, I don't think no man would be able to think of what game it was that prompted this. Also the above update for DS4 rolled out the other day. I've yet to dabble with it though. I guess most games I'd play with a controller already have controller support.
deanb
http://store.steampowered.com/about/newstore2016 Valve have updated their store front. It's not really an improvement at all tbh. In fact they've done the sin of having their main nav duplicate the side nav. And cos of infinite scroll their footer is inaccessible on the homepage but still included. The main issue is still the store pages which continue to be a cluttered disorderly mess. Man if it wasn't for the fact it's 11:30pm, and I'm no longer paid for this shit and Valve isn't and never would be a client I'd totally tear it to shreds on a technical level but no one will really care. danielpholt
Can I add stuff to my wishlist without having to navigate to the games steam page? Its 2016, why can't I do that yet? Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
