I imagine this may fluctuate in next two weeks (though not by much). CSGO is doing bonkers considering it's pretty old at this point. Interesting to see the differences (i.e you guys don't een have FM 2016 in your list)

Valve actually responded to the whole CSGO gambling thing that's been going around of late. Which is surprising, they're normally quiet most of the time (which I think is getting more and more of a problem tbh). But I guess the end bit threatening legal action is likely why they're publicly responding to the issue.

This is more Valve-related but I figure this thread is close enough.

Kinda crazy. The first PC I built (in 2009) was in large part because "now I'll be able to run Half-Life 2 Episode 3 no problem!". Yet here we are, roughly 7 years and a completely new build later and still no sign of it.

Steam is building DS4 support directly into the program, so any game that supports Steam controllers will now also support the DS4 without having to mess around with other programs.

Steam have messaged devs to use the screenshots for actual screenshots and not bullshots/pre-rednered cinemative/concept artwork etc.

We haven’t been super crisp on guidelines for screenshots in the past, so we’d like to take this opportunity to clarify some rules in this space. When the ‘screenshot’ section of a store page is used for images other than screenshots that depict the game, it can make it harder for customers to understand what the product is that they are looking at. Additionally, we’re going to start showing game screenshots in more places as described above, and these images need to be able to represent the game.

We ask that any images you upload to the ‘screenshot’ section of your store page should be screenshots that show your game. This means avoiding using concept art, pre-rendered cinematic stills, or images that contain awards, marketing copy, or written product descriptions. Please show customers what your game is actually like to play.

I can't for the life of me think what game and actions against said game might have prompted them for this rules clarification, I don't think no man would be able to think of what game it was that prompted this.

Also the above update for DS4 rolled out the other day. I've yet to dabble with it though. I guess most games I'd play with a controller already have controller support.

Valve have updated their store front. It's not really an improvement at all tbh. In fact they've done the sin of having their main nav duplicate the side nav. And cos of infinite scroll their footer is inaccessible on the homepage but still included.

The main issue is still the store pages which continue to be a cluttered disorderly mess.

Man if it wasn't for the fact it's 11:30pm, and I'm no longer paid for this shit and Valve isn't and never would be a client I'd totally tear it to shreds on a technical level but no one will really care.
