TheForgetfulBrain
I've got the Orange Box on Xbox (harr), and then the GOTY edition of HL2, which has HL1, etc, so there's really no point for me to pick up the HL games, even though I don't have some of them on Steam. TheForgetfulBrain
Yurg. Spoiled. Already jones'in for more Steam Sales - even though I bought pretty much everything I wanted... there's got to be more! ... :'(
TheMightyEthan
We all know the feeling. Why don't you come over here, have a seat, and introduce yourself?
toxicitizen
Hahaha I've bought most of what I wanted, and that was significantly less than last year, so I guess it's an improvement. Always kinda crazy to see all the prices go back to normal after a big sale and take a second look at what you bought
Yantelope
*double post* Every time I consider buying GTAIV for PC, I just look at this thread: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=762088 Also, Singularity for $25? I don't know if I'd even buy that for $5... What's the gist of the thread? I just bought the complete edition for $10 and it's pushing my CPU temps up over 100C. Also, Singularity was a fun shooter but pretty forgettable.
TheMightyEthan
The gist of it appears to be that people have to do all kinds of crazy workarounds to even get the Steam version running at all.
Yantelope
Oh, I didn't have any trouble at all. It runs great just overheats my CPU like crazy.
TheForgetfulBrain
Steam must be burnt out from the Xmas sale. No midweek madness and now, apparently, no weekend deal. BOOOOO. !!
TheMightyEthan
Well they do have to try and make money at SOME point during the year...
TheForgetfulBrain
Pff, Steam sleeps, bathes and eats in money, they're good. GIVE ME MORRRRE. ... What have I become.
TheForgetfulBrain
Still no midweek madness. It's been like, a whole week.
toxicitizen
Well someone has a problem, I think. Someone's addicted to crazy steam deals.
TheForgetfulBrain
:'( Truth.
toxicitizen
It's okay. The first step to getting better is admitting you have a problem. But I'm here to help you. Just PM me your steam password and I'll take the temptations away

Mal
I just did a quick calculation of how much I spent over these sales... $152.74. I should like... cancel Steam or something.
TheForgetfulBrain
I'M NOT GONNA LOOK. I don't wanna know... qq Also! Sales have resumed. Don't think I want Riddick though... I heard it was amazing, but that was like six years ago.
Tinkelp
That was a different Riddick game. Assault on Dark Athena was released in 2009 and includes the Escape from Butcher Bay game you're thinking of. So it's 5 dollars for 2 games. TheMightyEthan
I tried the AoDA demo on 360, and was not impressed, though I loved Escape from Butcher Bay on the oldskool Xbox. I wish there was a PC demo so I could see if it's any better than the 360 version. I was going to "demo" it to see, but I just don't care enough. deanb
There is a demo somewhere. I remember playing it. Hmmm wonder why not on Steam. But yeah I think I'm gonna pick this up. Well not me. Someone else for me
TheMightyEthan
I googled for it, and all I found was a bunch of people bitching about how there's no PC demo, and an argument on a forum about whether pirating a game to demo it is morally acceptable or not. Yantelope
I get the feeling I'm gonna try to buy a game on steam soon because it's so cheap just to discover that I already bought it and never played it.
excel_excel
Argh Steam. Look I've got loads of games on Steam and their deals are fantastic. But their new game prices can fuck right off. €50 for Dead Space 2?? I can buy a retail boxed copy for €33 on Zavvi.
