deanb
One of the WRPGs...Dungeon Siege/Risen/Something else. Not quite sure.
Faiblesse Des Sens
I've seen this plenty of times with indie games. Basically, they sell x number at one price, then they have another tier with a goal of x number of copies, and so on and so forth.
RockyRan
Huh. I've never really noticed that before. I tend to just look at the sales, decide what to get then and there and not look at the list again.
excel_excel
Managed to catch it for myself while it was still at 2.50. That sucks they raised the price to the same price its been at during the whole summer sale
Saturnine Tenshi
Meh. I'm no longer getting it now. I guess the sale is done for me. I was trying to find someone for the multi-pack, but five dollars is too much for that game. At least someone gifted me Risen yesterday. Mal
Okay, I wasn't tripping when I saw the high price. That sucks.
deanb
It's causing a stir on steam. A few folks saying how the original price was a mistake. Others pointing out the new price is the same it's been at all week, not much of a daily deal if the reduced price was a "mistake".
jayc4life
It was 10% off before the sale, but iirc it was 33% off during the sale (don't quote me on that, I'm probably wrong)... It's still a good price for it at 50% off, no doubt, but they probably saw the insane number of folks getting the 4 pack for an even more ridiculously lower price again and said "fuck it, let's cut our losses and hike it up again". EDIT: STEAM DONE GOOFED. Dev comment on Reddit says that it was always supposed to be 50% Edited July 10, 2011 by jayc4life
WTF
Steam Last minute recommendations (ymmv) Eschalon Book 1 or 2 if you're into old school semi roguelike RPGs (not very but eh there's some elements). However it's engaging and fun. The Whispered World if you're into adventure games or Lost Horizon (try the demo). Penny Arcade is $1.8 if you're into their humour. Portal 2 the final hours is 75p The Mawsome pack is 2.99 (includes the maw dlc and some stuff) Shatter is $2.50 (it's good and the music is fun) I've had it on the PSN for ages. The Longest Journey plus Dreamfall is $6.24 and is worth it. Drakensang is $9.99 (it's better than the previous game and good if you're into games like dragon age origins) Paradox Fantasy Pack is worth it for Majesty 2 and Elven Legacy and it's cheaper than even the Elven Legacy Pack which it includes. All of these are under $10 and worth checking out. I wish I had time to compile a proper list. Maybe we should do that next time so that people can buy good titles. BTW we should totally do a hidden gems thread next time.

However it's engaging and fun. I've been waiting on a sale on those for so friggin' long. I missed the one at GamersGate some time ago. I actually own the physical copy of Drakensang. It was troublesome to get shipped to Gamestop even though I pre-ordered it. Anyhow, just seconding those titles. If you've a loin-stirring proclivity for the CRPG, they're worthy. excel_excel
Cheers on those recommendations. any point in buying Eschalon 1 or 2 over each other?
WTF
It doesn't matter which version of Eschalon you get technically since Book 2 has a small recap and the story doesn't matter in the series. Book 2 improves on Book 1 in terms of gameplay. It's very addictive if you're into the earlier Black Isle games but with slightly more roguelike elements. I'd say Book 2 has more difficulty options but generally 1 was reviewed better than 2. 1 is definitely slightly cheaper. See if you like the demo for 1. I'd recommend 2 though but that's a personal preference.
P4: Gritty Reboot
Alright, sale almost over. What were the damages for each of you? I spent about $10 total on two gift copies of games, not too bad. Helps that I was broke for most of it.

Hocking
Total of £68, but I'll be getting £13 of that back for half the price of the Portal 2 pack. So technically I've spent £54.
WTF
Steam sales mostly from wanting to consolidate stuff onto steam really well some of them.
Hot Heart
I didn't even know The Longest Journey and Dreamfall were on Steam. I was interested in trying those.

WTF
lol. It wasn't part of steam sale and it should've been below that but for some reason showed up above on my purchase list. But if you must know it was the Portal 2 ps3 redemption thing. You know I might force myself to finish it on the PS3 as well because of the fact that it shows up as 0 trophies when I've finished it on steam for all acheivements already. deanb
http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/ipm5k/i_made_an_im_feeling_lucky_button_for_steam/ could be useful. I have 111 games so certainly so.
