toxicitizen
Was curious about The Ball, but I was pretty underwhelmed when I tried the demo. If you manage to play it today, let me know if the full game is better?
TheForgetfulBrain
I would let you guys know, but I won't be back with my desktop till tomorrow evening. And I probably won't play it for months. (Thanks, Steam Sale)
TheForgetfulBrain
Today's deals are kind of balls. Still hoping for Puzzle Quest 2, ACI and the Stalker games.
TheMightyEthan
The deals have been balls almost every day. I'm eying Europa Universalis III though. Has anyone played it? I need opinions.
deanb
I concur with ethan. I've not been that impressed. It's mostly cos I'm not wanting to build up a backlog. If I didn't care for the backlog I'd be jumping over a few of these. Like GTAIV. But I don't care enough for it that I don't think I'd complete it. I got GTAIV on PS3(with my PS3). It was fun, and Liberty City Episodes are at a good price. But i'm unsure if I'd ever boot them up.
toxicitizen
Yeah, nothing for me today either. Which is ironic since I just got some extra cash so my sale budget has a bit more breathing room.
Mister Jack
I'm actually kind of glad there's nothing good today. My wallet needs a break.
BrainHurtBoy...2
I'm hoping for HL2 with Episodes 1 & 2. I've only played them on the Orange Box on my PS3, and I want to replay them with the cinematic mod. For today I bought the GTA Complete Edition, just out of some sick obligation. Oh, and MNC, which I don't have any friends to play with, unfortunately.

TheForgetfulBrain
Crap. I don't have enough space on my harddrive for all my Steam games. Time for TB harddrives, next update, I guess...
TheForgetfulBrain
*double post* Every time I consider buying GTAIV for PC, I just look at this thread: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=762088 Also, Singularity for $25? I don't know if I'd even buy that for $5...
Mal
I got a TB harddrive just because I knew Steam was going to bring most of my other drives to their knees... right now its at 143 GB. Good thing I remember to put the Steam folder on the TB HD and not on my SDD or else that would be bad. And yeah... GTAIV, if I heard correctly is also what? 25-35 GB? Screw that... I can't be using up my HD space so fast.
TheForgetfulBrain
Another day of Steam sales, another round of me bitching. I'm stoked Stalker is finally up there - but it's an odd bundle. The first and the third game? Why exclude Clear Sky? I already have the first game, and I'm going to nab it since it's basically Pripyat for $5, but still, seems odd that Clear Sky isn't on a discount as well (which I've been hoping to grab this sale). In other news, anyone played Guardians of Graxia? It looks like something I'd enjoy, but I heard it was pretty bad.

I'm assuming they're just trying to hook people with a super-long adventure that doesn't jump around in time or setting, so they hope you'll play through these two and THEN Clear Sky. I did it that way and it didn't make much of a difference for me.
TheForgetfulBrain
Hmm, interesting. I didn't know that - thanks! I should have more than enough to keep me occupied till Clear Sky hits a sale, then.

I don't know if I'd even buy that for $5... I was interested in Singularity, I enjoyed TimeShift for the most part though. (Except the stupid driving sequences) amazon has/had Singularity w/ the comic for 19.99 on PS3, and 15.50 for 360, but the 360 version is sold out. So I got it on the ps3
toxicitizen
I'm pretty sure it's because Clear Sky has a different publisher than SOC and COP. Same reason why there isn't a full S.T.A.L.K.E.R. bundle. Same boat as you though, grabbed the pack for COP even though I already own SOC. deanb
Despite kinda slagging it off I am somewhat tempted to legally own Far Cry 2. It's still a pretty game, and good for a ramble. There might even be mods that tweak a few things.
BrainHurtBoy...2
Haha, slagging it off. Brits.
Mal
So yeah, Stalker is for sure but how about Red Alert 3 and Supreme Commander? I could use a RTS or two and I have experience with Red Alert... I just not sure about 3...
deanb
3 was kinda crappy compared to older ones. Had a good start though.... Sup Com 2 is smaller than the previous game, but shiny n stuff. I enjoyed it, but not played much online. Mostly a LAN game for me.
Mal
Eh. I think I'll keep my money. The older games are more than enough to hold my interest. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tb-gI_pFog0
TheForgetfulBrain
Today's got nothing for me. The Ego Draconis Knight pack looks interesting, but not for $20. Even though they already did a 'best of' sale, I'm guessing tomorrow will be more reruns? I guess the only thing things that didn't go on a daily sale I wanted were Stalker's Clear Sky and Puzzle Quest 2, but I'll probably nab PQ2 for the non-daily $7 sale price tomorrow anyway. Akuam4n
Eh, I should pick up Half-Life, but I wasn't too impressed with HL2. Nothing for me today.
deanb
See I want to own HL1, buuuut tbh £1.74 while cheap just doesn't do it for me. 80p n we'll talk. Yeah it seems really weird, but it's an old game, and I did get HL2 and epsidoes for a £1-ish each back when they were on sale or what not.
