I want to see the Captain America sweater. Either here or in Tali's fashion thread.

Ten dollars? Just TEN FUCKING DOLLARS for a hoodie? With a print?

Clothes are so goddamn cheap in the US...

A printed t-shirt would run you at least 20 euro's around here.

That's because 80% of stores in the malls over here sell clothes. There's so much competition.

Also it helps when Chinese slaves are making the clothes. Cheaper that way.

You think we make our own shirts over here? :tophat:

Considering everything else is more expensive over here, I guess it makes sense that clothes are no different.

But ten dollars...? Damn.

But... it's a Captain America hoodie!

Like, I'm wearing a similar Spider-Man hoodie right now. I don't remember how much I paid for it, but it was probably 40 euro's if not more.

Same thing with shoes. When I was in Japan, all the Dutch guys were like "Whoa, shoes are cheap here. Gotta buy a few to take home." And all the Americans were like "Why the hell are you buying shoes here? They're super expensive!" And we were like O_O

Yeah, usually I order Adidas shoes online for about $40. America freaking rules. Also I found it hilarious that asian people will come to america and buy electronics and take them back to asia where they were made becasue it's cheaper to buy them here. A lot of it has to do with taxation rates, tariffs and such.

Yeah well a woman I used to work with had friends from Scotland come over to visit her a few years ago. They literally came with empty suitcases (or they bought one at the Salvation Army/Goodwill or whatever) and went on a shopping spree at Wal*Mart, Target, JCPenny etc. and came home with a full wardrobe. Supposedly that saved them so much money it helped justify the trip.

America: Land of cheap clothing and food.

People have pointed out that it's Walmart, but I don't think that accounts for all of the price disparity. I still would have expected it to be like $25. But even before the sale that one was $17.

*Edit* - Also Smooves, it's probably really really crappy in terms of quality/warmth/etc.
