Pheermee
I know, I am getting excited for it simply because I havn't heard much. Kinda reminds me when I was a kid and the announced G/S... Best in the series!
berieber
I know, I am getting excited for it simply because I havn't heard much. Kinda reminds me when I was a kid and the announced G/S... Best in the series! ah Gold/Silver. I got both for my birthday, along with Pokemon: The Video Game of the Trading Card Game of the Video Game (Well that's what I call it now =p). And lo and behold, I decided to play Pokemon:TVGOTTCGOTVG first =p But yeah, everything was perfect about GS when I was younger. Honestly though, I don't think there has ever been a Video Game of a Trading Card Game of a Video Game for any other series. That's quite impressive I must say. Yantelope
I'm with D-K on this one. Pokemon needs a makeover. I loved Red/Blue and Gold/Silver but the series hasn't changed at all since then. I always wanted the battles to be more action based like the cartoon. They don't have to stop making the classic games but why not give us an updated version to bring back some of the fans they've lost?
Pheermee
The only reason (I can figure) Nintendo hasn't made a Pokemon MMO or true 3D version is because they are afraid of making *too* much money Edited December 27, 2010 by Pheermee
D-K
No actually the creator would like to keep it handheld based to encourage get2gethers for trading irl, rather than online sharing. Hence it not being on the Wii in 3D
brida
i don't want it to be 3d because then it'll have wii graphics and i'd rather stay with the sprites honestly they ovviously do not put any effort into the 3d models...they're hideous
berieber
It's always an awkward situation, you'd have it in 3D from now on or the models just won't look right and it'd just be waste to me. Even so, I wouldn't buy the first proper 3D game, but I would spend time looking at the models.
Mister Jack
I'd just like an overhaul on the battle system. Just once. I'm not really into the Dragon Quest style battles anymore.

ixa
No actually the creator would like to keep it handheld based to encourage get2gethers for trading irl, rather than online sharing. which seems strange, considering that as of Gen 4 you can trade and battle over Wi-Fi now with anyone in the world anyway. I'd like the main series to stay on the handhelds, but I wouldn't mind a 3D spin-off game for the Wii other than just a PBR/Colosseum type deal. Mister Jack
There was a shitty Gamecube spinoff game, wasn't there?
ixa
yeah, Pokemon XD. I never really played it though, so I'm not sure how close it is to what D-K wants.

docsfox
I grabbed two shiny Raikus today. :3 Tomorrow(1/9/2010) is the last day to grab him. Just go up to gamestop, turn on your DS, and go to mystery gift on the pokemon start menu and download it. Don't even need to talk to anyone. Can hide in a corner in shame if you must. =P

FMW
I think that Pokemon is intrinsically good. The formula works quite well. However, I wish that it was possible to increase the speed of the game. Many things just feel slow and clunky to me. Needing to use HMs for environmental puzzles is a tedious process. There are several similar games that have much quicker environmental interactions that they could copy. I'm thinking of Golden Sun, Zelda, or Lufia. The other thing that needs a speed increase is the battles. The only way I could make the battles bearable in Platinum was to turn of battle animations. I shouldn't need to do that. Speed up the text, or better yet, give me an option to turn it off entirely. Once one is familiar with the game, is the narration text really necessary? I recognize the graphics for the statuses and I can tell how much my health has gone down. Actually, that could be really exciting. You get hit for half your HP, and you don't think that the enemy should have that kind of stopping power. Do you stay in and hope that it was a critical hit? Or do you retreat? Or at the very very least, let me manipulate menus while attack animations are running. Anything to speed up the plodding pace of combat. Even without animations, it's very very slow. I'd almost welcome an ATB system, just because that would force the game to keep on moving!

Toshi
pfft dean, I think I'm actually older than you. the good thing about playing on the acecard is that you can pretty much enchance the speed of like healing at a pokecenter or the texts to instant because they're so damn slow normally
