I went into my local GAME and it had the old pack for £30, but didn't have the newer one at all. I felt pretty bad about leaving without buying it since I was the only person in the shop and the guy at the counter was shoving the stuff into my hands! I felt a bit less bad when he started saying how rubbish the Wii is completely out of nowhere.

EDIT ZOMG the new pack difference is that it doesn't include the demo disc! I hope they still have the other one in tomorrow. Feeling pretty dumb right about now!

It's the starter pack. I figure I'm probably never going to get it for cheaper.

Basically, I received an email saying I have a $25 off coupon from being a PowerUp Rewards member, and I still have the $10 gift card which I received for all the trouble experienced at the Portal 2 + Mortal Kombat midnight launch.

Yeah, I also got the coupon. Im going to return Xmen Origins Wolverine after I beat it(or not), then get that. Ive been waiting for a price drop for a long time. This is the best deal ive seen online or instore.

Do they let you use the coupon if you just show it to them off your phone or do you need to print it out? Ive been to 3 different store, 2 let me and one didnt. Whats the REAL deal here? Can you use those powerup rewards coupons more than once or not?

Dam, I was contemplating using my coupon this weekend, but then I realized that that bundle doesn't include the nav controller. This really is an expensive upgrade isn't it... I think I may have to go into waiting again, both for more games as well as a bundle that suits my needs (nav + Move, since I already have the Eye).

Yeah, that's what's making this decision annoying. I guess the thing is I'm not sure I want it yet. I think it's a cool device, I'm just not sure that the support will be there that will keep me (personally) spending enough time with it to justify the purchase. While I think it's a cool alternative to the controller in a lot of games, it's not one that I'd usually care to use when a DS3 can get the same job done for me. I think some pretty unique experiences can be delivered with it, but I'm not terribly confident that they will. I think I'm gonna wait it out and be more certain I'm going to use it, even at the discount it's still a lot to drop, especially since I'd probably want the nav controller once I tried using a DS3 with it. Maybe I'll get lucky and a Move + Nav bundle will release. Yeah... I think I'm gonna wait.

I think there was more Move stuff at Gamescom than there was at E3 :s

I could be wrong, but I really don't remember much Move-related news to have come out of E3.

They announced Move Fitness, which is pretty much what it sounds like. I personally am interested and might get it, but it's probably not for everyone.

Sorcery unfortunately still seems to be M.I.A. :( Kinda wish they'd just come out and say it's cancelled if that's what happened.

I have it and think it works really well. I'm not big on motion gaming, but Sports Champions really shows off how the controller can pick up on tiny nuances accurately. I have had zero luck with light gun games because I can't get far enough back from the TV to calibrate it properly. I have Time Crisis Razing Storm and it's literally off-center by the time I take a test shot at the target on the screen. Then I start playing and in under a minute, I'm aiming 90 degrees to the left to shoot the center of the screen. (Move tracks absolute position, but relative rotation, where the Wii can track absolute rotation while aiming at the sensor bar, so it's a better candidate for lightgun games.)

But overall I'd say the technology is solid when used correctly. I just wouldn't recommend it because personally, I still haven't seen other games I'd want for it yet.

and yet I still haven't bought it. I think if I could get all the equipment with the move controller for around $50 I'd bite but since it's more like twice that even with the discount I'll continue to pass. Maybe I can find a cheap doomsday version of Resistance 3 at some point.

So I got lucky. Snagged the nav controller for $15 on Amazon (it's currently listed at that price), and decided to ask any Move owning friends if theirs were collecting dust, and if they would want to sell it. Long story short, I spent $15 and now have two Move controllers and a nav. A gun too, though it's not the sharp shooter, which another friend of mine has been raving about with Killzone. This one keeps things awkwardly placed for face-button pressing...

Anyway, I'm surprised how much I'm enjoying Sports Champions. For anyone wondering, having a second Move adds significantly to all 3 events that use it. The gladiator fights went from (IMO) utterly terrible to actually slightly engaging. Being able to move both arms independently is the way it's meant to be played, without a doubt. Being able to use one arm at a time in a fight with a sword and shield is incredibly cheap... Archery is far more realistic, but more difficult as well. I prefer it, but if I decided to start making a (highly unlikely) run for the platinum, I'll probably be single-handing that one. I guess volleyball isn't all that different, aside from making things feel more realistic, especially serving. I guess I don't know the full extent of the difference, as I started playing w/ two controllers after my first volleyball game, before I went through too much tutorial. So far that and disc golf are where I'm spending most of my time. Overall it's a nice little package to display how accurately these things work, and a good time.

I was surprised to find out that I own 7 or so games that can be played with Move. Of those I've only tried Auditorium HD and High Velocity Bowling so far. The former was nice with the Move, and offered a slight edge, as you can sort of cheat your way through levels with the Move... It's hard to explain how, unless one knows how the game works. Still though, it wasn't a world of difference, and since the fun in that game is solving the puzzles, moving around doesn't make going through the motions of the game much more fun than with a controller. High Velocity Bowling was already a game that largely relied on motion control even with the DS3, so the difference in gameplay for that one is very minor. The major difference is how you apply spin, which is more difficult with the Move, but I suppose more realistic and immersive. Barely.

Killzone should be here tomorrow, I'm looking forward to tooling around there when I get a chance. Has anyone encountered anything else worth checking out since this thread was last active? I'm considering No More Heroes.

Wow, I completely forgot about RE5, thanks. I've never been a fan of the control scheme in the series, and so mostly left it alone aside from a brief stint with Nemesis back in the day. I think I'll give 5 a shot w/ Move though. I still have a few trophies left in Heavy Rain for the platinum, so I'm sure whenever I get around to it I'll be trying to do it with Move. I thought they did some fantastic work in tailoring the experience to a DS3, it should be interesting to see how it translates.
