Akuam4n
We have a thread for gaming mice, so how about keyboards? I don't use a "gaming" keyboard. I use a Filco. Works wonders. It uses mechanical switches like the old IBMs. I love it. What kind do you guys use? As you can see, it doesn't look too fancy. I really wish it was backlit, but oh well. staySICK
I just have the logitech illuminated keyboard. I like the slim profile of it.
Bouchart
I have some default keyboard that came with my computer. It still working just fine after all of these years.
Little Pirate
Same as above. Default keyboard. My old computer's keyboard had to be replaced twice. Once for squeezing a stress toy too hard and the filling literally exploded all over it. Once again for spilling coke on it. I now keep liquids on a separate table next to the computer. I don't have my glittery stress squeezy ball anymore...
Shadowstep
Logitech G11. Nice and backlit, 18 macro keys... It's pretty nice.
Bouchart
Oddly enough I've spilled soda, soup, and all sorts of things on my keyboard and it still works fine.
Strangelove
I have the one attached to my laptop and before that i always used the one that came with my computer. I would never go out of ym way to buy a keyboard. Id just fuck it up.
TheMightyEthan
I have an $11 ViewSonic keyboard that I bought when I built a desktop about 6 years ago.
Mister Jack
I used to have this super comfortable ergonomic keyboard until it broke. Now I have some standard HP piece of crap.
CrowKnow
Used to use the alchemy elixir until the buggy win7 64 bit support and the keys wearing out made me start looking for another... then got a Steel series merc stealth during xmas so using that atm. Of course the win7 64 bit support on this keyboard is almost as bad as the program keyset doesn't work or the software doesn't detect the keyboard at all... deanb
(And big image: http://www.ocztechnology.com/images/awards/Elixir_render.jpg) Snap for Chrono. It's a great price n great feature set. Buuut the lack of Win 7 support (Which means every now n then it randomly inserts a UW into whatever you're typing) means I'd never recommend it and kinda kills any chance I'd pick up another OCZ keyboard in future. Quality of the build is good, nice selection of keys n macros. Comes with a spare space bar n WASD too which is a nice touch. I think next time around I'm gonna splash out on a Logitech. Something that glows in the dark a bit n maybe has a display or something. Though they're a bit more than I'd want to spend. I'm looking at a new PC for summer, so expect me to add it in here near then.
toxicitizen
I've wanted a proper keyboard for ages. I'm currently using a pretty normal compaq one and I hate it because it's the only piece of my system that is white. Monitor? Black. PC Case? Black. Mouse? Black. Printer? Black. Hell, even my sound system is black and I've got my PS3 sitting on top of my desk. It just bugs me... Worst thing is, we do have a basic Dell black keyboard in the house, but the other PC doesn't have a damn PS/2 port, so I can't switch them. Anyway! Now that I've finally bought a proper mouse about a few weeks ago, keyboard will most likely be my next upgrade.
Battra92
I posted this in the Hardware pron forum but this is the keyboard I use every day. It is without a doubt the best keyboard ever made. I wish I had one at work. The Model M is a little loud but it's well worth the investment as as it will last for a lifetime. Mine was made in 1986 and is still working quite excellently!
TheForgetfulBrain
Ever since the keyboard that came with my iBuyPower rig busted (dropped it one too many times - I'm always frickin dropping keyboards it seems), I've been using another old default one - Kensington or something. It does the trick.
Mal
http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c278/Vinitachi/Dell-SK-8115-Electromechanical-desktop-keyboard-front.jpg Serves me well. I don't see a need for a fancy keyboard. Now a mouse... Edited January 7, 2011 by MaliciousH
slatz_grobnik
Got an older Das Keyboard. It's a beauty to type on. Had to switch out with a cheapy from the office because I needed one with a PS2 connector to fix bios stuff. Will switch back when I clean up. ceedee
I use a Logitech G15. Getting it was kind of pointless since I'm such an optimization fiend that I don't even have the drivers installed and taking up system resources. I can't use the LCD on it or the macro keys so it's pretty much just a normal keyboard.
Pirandello
I have an ergonomic keyboard. It is very ergonomic. Not suited for gaming, but it's black and sleek.
Vintage
I just have the logitech illuminated keyboard. I like the slim profile of it. thats my keyboard to! i love it!
deanb
I used to have a slim keyboard. Wireless thing that came bundled with my PC. Was pretty horrible. At first I was like 'ooh this is kind of cool' but typing doesn't feel "right". It's lighter, but feels.. I dunno. So yeah I'm back on a meaty keyboard. Nice clack of keys. Also less slip sliding about. Oh n much easier to clean. The mechanism for keeping the slimline keys down doesn't like it when you pop them off like a chunky regular keyboard. Enervation
I'm using some huge-ass piece of clunky Microsoft hardware that came with my computer many, many years ago. It still hasn't broken.
Rocket Lawnchair
this bad boy has been working fine since 07 i would take a picture of mine. but its covered in got knows what and it would show up on the photo. best 14 bucks i ever spent. NeoStarr
I upgraded from the G15 to the G19 last year and I'd highly recommend it. It's not quite as good for gaming as the G15 because there are only 2 rows of macro keys instead of 3; but the LCD screen lets you watch porn while you play. Baconrath
I have upgraded as well.
