Cyber Rat
I'm guessing this forum has its share of people who are turned on by bits and pixels, so let's talk about some 8bit music. Of course, when we say 8bit music, we think of the NES, because the Sega Master System had shitty music aside from a few exceptions. Favorite NES track: (original, I know) Favorite SMS track:

Mudkip3DS
Bouch, great pick there. I find that Sunsoft had their best music in the 8-bit era. Too bad they slacked off during the 16-bit era and died right there, though. :/ I honestly like this soundtrack much more than the movie's. Mister Jack
I know there's a pattern here...but this is the only other horror game.

excel_excel
Some great examples from this game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOSDVFF3ZjU ARGH. That was my gaming childhood! Also!...... What an epic theme
Johnny
A few greats have already been linked here. The moon theme, Batman, etc. Most megaman games had great music, that goes without mentioning. So I think I'm just gonna post something a little less well known... Because, I mean, you don't need me to tell you that Castlevania had pretty cool soundtracks, right? Terrible game, awesome music. Was also gonna list Rescue Rangers, but Hot Heart beat me to it, the bastard. =) Loved that game, some great co-op action.
Showmeyomoves!
Terrible game...? TERRIBLE GAME??! Okay, so it was pretty bad. But that game was my childhood. Are you talking shit about my childhood?
Johnny
Our childhoods. I, too, have great memories of that terrible, terrible game.
Hot Heart
That game was terrible. TMNT II: The Arcade Game FTW! Rescue Rangers also had such an advanced physics engine! Stack box on other box, remove lower box and stack on top of higher box, rinse and repeat.
Redundant Nocturne11234
I thought Landstalker had some pretty nice music http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MvZ8b1fOAI
Battra92
Bloody Tears is my favorite. I knew someone else out there loved Simon's Quest! Anyway, I used to work out to the music from Mike Tyson's Punch-Out. I guess it's less cheesy than "You're the best around"

Mudkip3DS
I like the concept of Simon's Quest (along with the plot), where the game isn't mainly a platformer and instead is more of an adventure game. Unfortunately, the piss-poor and rusty translation when it was released abroad crippled it. It didn't help that Akamatsu deliberately designed the NPCs to give either vague answers or just be plain liars, which was another facet lost in translation. Also, holy water + Dracula = makes for easiest boss battle ever.
