Faiblesse Des Sens
I can understand not wanting to buy the game twice... but you're crazy if flat out prefer any 360 version over the PC version.
TheMightyEthan
Word to the wise: you TF2 folks don't wanna play us MNC people right now. Your TF2 skills will not translate well, and we will FLATTEN you all, possibly turning you off of the game forever. Quoted for truth. This game isn't as similar to TF2 as a lot of people seem to think. I have to see the rest of you av minty. I won't be able to read any of your posts until I know the genders of the 2 people involved... Minty doesn't have an av for me, but now I'm intrigued... *Edit* - I too would like to know if folks plan on moving over to the PC version. I know Brida can't cause she has a Mac, ( ... j/k, I <3 you) but what about everyone else? I'm reluctant to move over just cause we have such a good team on 360 that I don't want to lose that. Minirova
I can't move to PC either, I have a Mac. I wouldn't want to anyways though, I dig the 360 version too much. Plus I haven't played a shooter-like game on PC since like Unreal Tournament 2000.
Minirova
I haven't played any FPS-like games on the PC in over 10 years. Also, I own a mac so that's another reason. When you say "you're crazy if flat out prefer any 360 version over the PC version" do you mean in general or just FPSs? Because theres quite a few games on 360 I prefer over the PC version. mintycrys
I'll still play on 360 since that's where all the good players are, but I'll gladly play the PC version if only for the free kills.
mintycrys
I'm still going to play the 360 version, since that's where all the good players are, but I'll drop into the PC version to *ahem* give them some pointers. Unless they find some way to have my stats, protags, and custom classes carry over, I'll have less of a reason to play the PC version on a regular basis. Also, I'll need a special mouse to handle all of the skill commands across multiple classes. Deploy, Hack, and Firebase can be keymapped, but Charge, Product Grenade, Airstrike, Bomb, Flak, Trap, Slam, Grapple, Cloak, Dash, and Smoke Bomb are active skills that need to be mapped to the mouse, and I don't have a mouse capable of doing those effectively. Weapon switch and reload are also contentious. This game is clearly optimized for controller, though a mouse would transform my long-range harassment ability to outright MURDER. Shadowstep
How often do you folks play? This game sounds interesting and I'd like to give it more of a go than the demo allowed for.
Minirova
We have a full or nearly full team most nights of the week. You should definitely give it a shot.
hatch
the last few times I've played we've actually had more than six it seems, making it difficult to get a game started since the clock won't count down until all parties are basically guaranteed to stick together. but if we have enough people playing we could always just private match I guess
Pheermee
We are always looking for more people. Someday I hope we can have a TAY 6v6 private match
mintycrys
I know who would win.
Pheermee
Right now I dont have a gaming PC set-up. Although I am very interested in getting it on steam. Dedicated Servers FTW. Mouse and keyboard will always be superior to the controller for FPS. However MNC uses a lot of skills that require dedicated buttons. And those eventually become cluttered and messy on a Keyboard. Pheermee
well if last night was any indication my tank skills would give minty sniper skills are very very had time =p
mintycrys
I should hope so, at close range!
Baguette
I'll probs most likely not move over to PC but I might pick it up on Steam depending on something. Actually, how are the skills mapped out on the keyboard? I don't have a super fancy mouse.
Pheermee
lol there were a few medium range kills too!
mintycrys
Actually, I'm sure that once I can get my hands on an Onza, I'll still have a good few months of pub rape even playing the PC version (Onza is PC-compatible) with an analog stick. No slow turn and adjustable sensitivity will makes things so much crazier if I'm on a dedicated server. In fact, it would almost be as good as a mouse, I could argue. Minirova
Pheer is way too bad ass at long range as well. He rail guns like a pro.
Pheermee
I don't know about that. There will always be slow turn with controllers. Jsut the nature of the beast. If you turn up your sensitivity to stop slow turn, you can't aim at anything. turn it down to aim, and then you slow turn

Minirova
I bumped up my sensitivity to 5 yesterday for my assassin...It helped quite a bit but the lag I was getting last night was unbearable so I didn't really get to play around with it too much. mintycrys
Nope, just the one. And Jon got an assist for it, too!... ...which he made sure to mention earlier this morning.

FPS and other click friendly genres mainly. Though if you have a pad of some sort (360 or PS3) then there's no reason to go 360 unless the port is absolutely terrible (such as with Bioshock 2.)
