Mister Jack
Some game weapons are just satisfying as hell to use, even if they're nothing more than pixels and polygons. Post your favorites here. I'll go first. THIS is the reason I played Doom 2 over Doom 1. This is the one and only reason I needed to prefer the sequel. Gyaruson
Oh Jack, master of thread creation. - Lancer (Gears of War) - Fingers of the Mountain (Elder Scrolls: Oblivion) - Hammer of Dawn (Gears) - RC-XD (COD: Blops) - Fat Man (Fallout 3) - Fireball (Super Mario Bros.) - Shrink Gun (Duke Nukem 3D) I'm sure there are more... diedan
Spread gun in Contra III, particularly. It's fine in the first two, it's just not as satisfying.

Baguette
I have no idea what the game was but there was a barrel that shot monkeys and the monkeys would run towards another player and explode.

Sounds like something from a Timeplsitters game.
Baguette
Was it ever in the arcade? That's the only place I played it.

Outkastprince
Currently enjoying the Assault Carbine from Fallout:NV. It's a good gun when you don't want to use your good weapons(lack of ammo, or low durability). Plus, it looks cool.
TheForgetfulBrain
I always found the flak cannon in the Unreal games to be an incredibly satisfying weapon. For anyone that never played the series, it's basically a shotgun on steroids, that also has a secondary fire which acts as an explode-on-contact grenade launcher. A great 'chunking' weapon, often with one hit kills. Edited December 28, 2010 by TheForgetfulBrain

HotChops
Pretty much every weapon from the original Turok: The Dinosaur Hunter. The poison hidden blade from Assassin's Creed II and Brotherhood. The from A Link to the Past... *sigh* and OoT I guess. The in Just Cause 2. It's DLC, but it only costs a couple bucks. King Jimmeh
Ifrit Gauntlets - Devil May Cry 1 Agni & Rudra - Devil May Cry 3 Red Queen - Devil May Cry 4 The DMC series (outside of #2) have all had some pretty awesome weapons, especially in the melee side of things. I always liked the charged fireball with Ifrit in DMC1, as it looked like the Kamehameha.
Pheermee
I like odd weapons. I love DOT weapons. Makes me a threat far greater than I appear to be. In quake I liked the Gauntlet. Unreal, the bio rifle and flak cannon. Bioshock, All the melee weapons. FEAR, the Nail Gun. Dead Space, Plasma cutter the whole way. You get the idea
Mister Jack
I did like that Dead Space rifle that spins around and showers bullets everywhere. Sadly it seems to have been changed for the sequel.
RadiantViper
I did like that Dead Space rifle that spins around and showers bullets everywhere. Sadly it seems to have been changed for the sequel. It was awesome, but so impractical IMO. I would use it every once in a while for fun. But yeah, the plasma cutter is awesome, I love the force gun as well even if it kind of ruins the whole point of that 'strategic dismemberment' thing ... Commander Shepard
To go with Doom, the Berserker pack, because there's nothing quite like looking your enemy in the eye as you gib them. RadiantViper
Oh, and how could I forget ... the triple-booked small chainsaw and the Real Mega Buster from Dead Rising. Beating the entire game multiple times with just 2 weapons = awesome.

staySICK
Oh man Pheer, I love the nailgun in FEAR. Stapling bitches to the wall like a boss. also I'm surprised I haven't seen the BFG 9000 mentioned yet. Iconic. I'm also a big fan of just the classic shotgun. It's a staple of the genre.
