Basically, he's a character that makes movie reviews that are both disturbing and hilarious. It all started with a review for Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace that was pretty popular online. The reviews are pretty lengthy and I'm not sure what the limit of youtubes per posts is, so I'll just embed the first few parts of the Phantom Menace one and if you like them you should be able to find the remaining ones pretty easily on youtube. The review for Episode III came out today. I'm watching it right now and it's as glorious as ever. Also the longest one so far.. it's almost as long as the actual movie The reviews are both hilarious and spot on. The guy who writes these is obviously very knowledgeable about movies and what makes them good or bad. Seriously, he'll point out stuff about the movies that is just ridiculous but that you might have never even noticed or thought about. I'm hesitant to describe them beyond that because their brand of humour is better experienced without any foreknowledge of it. His Star Wars reviews are the main ones, but in-between them there's a bunch of other shorter ones that are just as good. Some of his other victims include Avatar and some of the Star Trek movies. Though the Avatar review isn't as in depth, mostly based off bits n pieces, trailers etc. The Star Trek one isn't on Youtube though which is a bummer http://www.redlettermedia.com/star_trek_09.html My main complaint would be some make you a little bit uncomfortable watching the side stuff. I need to finish it and likely check out the others. I had no idea that something like this could hold my attention for as long as this did. Incredible. If you see my Magic thread, you'd probably understand that already, though. I've watched most of his reviews several times. Funniest line has to be "Star Trek Insurrection sucks my balls." The guys from RedLetterMedia have actually made a few movies, and I recently bought and watched their most recent one. It's called Feeding Frenzy and it is fucking awesome. You'll probably get more out of it if you're familiar with their other internet stuff like the Plinkett reviews and their new review show Half in the Bag, but it's a pretty fun little hommage to rubber monster films of the 80s. It's definitely b-movie grade, but it's all intentional and the guys actually have a good understanding of the technical aspects of filmmaking so stuff like framing, lighting, etc.. is actually done competently. So it's done cheaply but unlike some b-movies I've seen it actually looks like it was made by someone who knew what the hell they were doing.
