TheMightyEthan
That "You alright?" thing cracks me up.
deanb
Over her specifically it's pretty much "reet?".
TheMightyEthan
Before watching that if someone had greeted me with "You alright?" I'd have been like "Yeah... why? Do I seem like something's wrong...?"

deanb
I'd be careful filling this out in a joking manner; one of these choices requires you bring enough Ferrero Rocher for everyone.
TheMightyEthan
I don't know why but the fact that "King" is one of the options really really amuses me. Like, how many can there be...?
deanb
A fair few dozen. Like a lot of Europe are still monarchies. France was quite the loner in that regard (We chopped the head off one of ours, had a punk phase, then asked his son to be our king again). Here's the current list; though it's all monarch not just kings (so includes several Queens, sultans and a Pope) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_current_monarchs_of_sovereign_states#List Incidentally Pope/Pontifex is not a title that you can use when booking a ticket for ROH. So he'll just have to wait outside and hope the cardinals tell him if it was good or not.

TheFlyingGerbil
I was listening to an American podcast. They were reading synonyms for something and got to "whinge" and none had heard the word. They are all people I would expect to have a wide vocabulary. It's a commonplace word over hear and would be very surprised if an adult didn't know it. Is it not common over in the USA or is it just an anomaly they'd not heard the word?
