Doctor Who

He's got something up his sleeve. He wouldn't promise the old man "not them, never them" if he didn't have a plan. I think they'll end up stuck somewhere. Unable to return to Earth/now, but still together and living out their lives happily. Trailers show the next episode to be Weeping Angels so they could get back-in-timed.

@ST: Pretty much.

Also after the "Next Time on Doctor Who" was on all of us bar Erin went "ooohh". So we got Erin up to speed yesterday with Blink (she's watched some episodes but not others). We said not to bother with the Byzantium one though, just hoping Angels in Manhattan is closer to Blink than Time of Angels.

Yeah it made me think of this...

A good farewell, I think. So if Rory died 5 times before this episode (I think I read that somewhere), once in this episode as an old man, after he jumped off the building, and off-screen one final time as an old man after living his life with Amelia, I guess that means Rory died eight times.... crazy!

Now bring on Clara, please!

Have the opening credits been green the whole series?

Nope, but they've not been the same each episode of this series, but last nights was definitely noticeably different. The logos have been changing too, same font n such but different texture.

Ok so, one thing that's bothering me... the Doctor can't land his TARDIS in New York, cool. I get that. But, River can use her little Jack Harkness-like time traveling bracelet because it's so much smaller.. also cool. So, at the end of the episode, why didn't River just give Amy her bracelet? Also since River gave Amy the book, does that mean she can go see them whenever she wants? What's to stop her from exchanging letters and stuff between the Ponds and the Doctor? Also, why not just get Rory and Amy to jump on a train, leave NYC, and meet the Doctor somewhere else?

As the Doctor landed at the end in the graveyard he pointed out that 1938 was now completely fucked as far as temporal travel there goes. River only just got in before the whole paradox stuff happened. They only just managed to paradox their way out of Rorys first death, doing it again would, as the Doctor and River pointed out, blow up New York. There is as you say nothing stopping them somehow leaving messages for him mind, either via the back of the book, or maybe sending letters to some PO box.

Is 1938 the only bad year? Or is it the whole new york? Why not travel to new york 1940 and see the ponds? Or travel to 1940 to Philly or something and take a bus or the train.

They made it up like he'll never see them again like Rose, but really they're on the same Earth, just go back in time a bit.

Didn't really pay attention to events but apparently it's been ten years now for the ponds. Karen looked like she aged, was that make up or she really just look older now. She looks way younger on season 5. It's only been 2 years. Doesn't really matter just wondering aloud...

  • 2 weeks later...

So every year BBC runs a telethon called Children In Need. It'll be on again this Friday. As part of that there will be a new Doctor Who Short (and also likely an Xmas trailer/lead-up)

Here's some media as part of that (and I'll throw up the short as n when it's up)

Oh yeah last years wasn't too good. So I'll leave you with a good one

Don't ask me, though I swear I've seen her before, maybe back in the Demons Run episode(one with Amy's baby). Keep in mind that what's shown on TV is only a handful of his adventures, they do have nice trips out. And he's with River Song much more than depicted It's covered well in the Power of Three episode where they just go off and away for about 7 weeks during the party. The Doctor himself has aged about 300 years since he regenerated from 10th. That's many centuries to meet up with these guys. He knew Nefertiti and the hunter dude pretty well before taking them on-board the space ship.
