toxicitizen
Only just got around to watching the christmas special. I really liked it. The last two were borderline unwatchable, so expectations were kinda low but still. Can't wait for the second half of the season!
Eleven
I wish I could unlike that comment! Â What's wrong with the fishies?
toxicitizen
Is that the christmas carol one? If so, I just thought it was mind-numbingly boring. The Narnia one was the worst, though. Holy crap, that one fucking sucked.
TCP
Ugh, the only thing worse than The Chronicles of Narnia, is things inspired by Narnia. Boo-urns.

It was brought up after airing of Dinosaurs on a Spaceship on the resemblance.

TCP
Yesterday I learned Billie Piper was once a 90s popstar in the UK. I will never appreciate Rose Tyler the same.

Saturnine Tenshi
No need to be a twat. I was kidding. : \ And sure. Link it.
deanb
I'm not being a twat, I thought that was the response you were going for. (Check the song I linked...). Â
Saturnine Tenshi
Oh, sorry. : \ I didn't catch that. And I was singing the chorus to annoy my wife. deanb
Â Still not so sure on making the companion the mystery, since once mystery is solved then companion becomes less worthwhile. But it'll be enjoyable to follow anyway.
TCP
Maybe they're only planning on having the new companion stick around for a season or so, like Martha and Donna?
deanb
Â Two weeks left. Â Yeah, the whole "stick around for just one series" is why I'm not keen on the companions being the focus of the arc.

deanb
Aye, nice to hear. Was one of those "if you don't at least get these two on board you've fucked up somewhere". Â Last nights episode pretty standard fare. Mainly a frame with which to have Clara re-introduced. And sets-up Richard E. Grant as a story arc villain which is nice to have. (I'd been trying to think why I thought he fit quite well in the Whoniverse, then I remembered he temporarily played The Doctor in Curse of Fatal Death). Few neat jokes here and there too, and a nod back to the first new episode Rose. A regular episode, par for the course with these set-up types. Saturnine Tenshi
I always find the Earth episodes some of the least appealing, but I know it's necessary for a new companion. Looking forward to next week.
