deanb
Okay bear with me on this one. Doctor Who is freaky enough it makes even real life things in the real world all timey wimey. David Tennant, who played the 10th doctor, is marrying Georgia Moffet, daughter of Peter Davison who played the 5th Doctor (cricket one with celery), who also played a clone of tennant's Doctor. So yeah the 10th doctor is marrying a clone of himself who is in real life the daughter of his older self. tl;dr: It goes ding when theres stuff. Also it'll boil an egg at 50 metres. Pirandello
I actually like David Tennant and Matt Smith. Granted, they're among my first encounters with Doctor Who. My first episode that I watched was "Blink". And that was because I was like "Oh, hey, Doctor Who. I'll check it out and see how good it is". Never looked back since. Also, I'd kill for a sonic screwdriver. So many uses.
Thursday Next
Wasn't a fan of the Christmas episode, but there we go. Looking forward to the new series though. I'm quite liking this new Doctor. Also, Amy Pond is hawt.
deanb
Yeah the Xmas episode wasn't bad. But it was a bit flat. There wasn't much spirit in it. New stuff is looking good, especially with the back story of River Song. Want to know more about that. And yeah, Amy Pond is pretty dang hot. If anyone is really into the style of the current Doctor Who, the Steven Moffat stuff I shall direct them also to Jekyll and Sherlock. Jekyll is only about 6 episodes long, and pretty well done overall. Very much the kind of dark theme to it that Moffat is putting in his Doctor Who stuff. Sherlock is just really slick and snappy. (p.s after that video one of the recommendations is "opening Sequence" watch that to get a better idea of it)
Thursday Next
Not 100% sure on this, but, I'm like... 86% certain that some of that Jekyll series was shot at EA's old Chertsey HQ. The same building that was used in Inception for "paradox training".
deanb
Via Acid Crownie. Which this could also go in the Star Trek n BSG thread I guess, but Doctor Who has it all.
deanb
http://www.scribd.co...Who-BBC-AMERICA Doctor Who Swimsuit Calender. Also I'm trying to look about for Series 6 air dates, but can't find any. There's rumours it starts 6th April, coinciding with the release of the Doctor Who mag in the US. But seems a bit flimsy if you ask me.
McBeeferton
I made it into the first couple of episodes of the second season of new Who. I love the show so far. Just need to find the time to watch the rest.

Mr W Phallus
Is it just me or are the production values even better than they were last series? The moment where the appears in that office looks great. Anyways this can't come soon enough. p.s. Amy Pond

deanb
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-13137674 I never watched it but the actress who plays Sarah Jane has passed away.
Enervation
Yea, I noticed that as well. They keep talking about her spinoff series, I don't ever recall her getting one. 0_o Or maybe it's because they don't air it on BBC America. deanb
Sarah Jane Adventures. There was a cameo in the one where the Daleks stole the planets. They used their computer to call all phones to contact the doctor. (or something like that). Worth noting is that in age range it goes Sarah Jane Adventures > Doctor Who > Torchwood. It airs on "CBBC" over here. the C is for Children.
Enervation
What a great way to introduce children to the Doctor.

deanb
Right it starts tonight in less than 2 hours. Also someone reckons they've seen an interesting snippet in the latest trailer. And tbh you don't even need to watch the video, the screenshot youtube has chosen pretty much shows it off. Also it's not just old tardis but that guy on the right...
deanb
Any thoughts and theories on tonights episode? As far as I'm aware the aliens following about Amy are The Silent. As in the guys who blew up the Tardis in series 5. Also they have a Tardis-like thingy from The Lodger.
