Agreed, impressive season opening, I liked it a lot more than Deep Breath.
I can't help but feel that if The Doctor wanted to prevent the Daleks from ever being created he could have just rescued kid-Davros, brought him on the TARDIS, and raised him not to be a douche.

It's a bit big headed of The Doctor to assume his walking away would be the be all and end all of Davros as a kiddie, that no one but the Doctor could save him. And that in all of time and space there would only be one person named "Davros". But narratively that's the case.

Anyway probably going to find that given the teaser trailer on the end he goes back and saves Davros with the intent of raising him up and making sure he's nice, well adjusted and dies with all his own hands and just two eyes. (and in front of the Doctor, maybe with two hands around his neck then crushed, atomised and kept in a box of goo)

Snake guy was cool. Nice bit of cameos too at the start, all those welsh quarries.

I really like the new dynamic with Missy helping Clara / The Doctor out, with a hint of maybe turning around and killing everyone. The line where she got upset after The Doctor said Davros is his archenemies was great.
Also I'm enjoying that it's a multi episode story. I think last season ended with one, IIRC, but this is the first time in awhile we've had a multi episode story that wasn't the season ender.

New Doctor Who spin-off coming called "Class". It'll be on BBC Three though (Torchwood was on BBC Two) which doesn't give it much of an approval from BBC since they're binning BBC3 off TV early next year, which is when this starts filming :P

Be interesting how that'll work out if it's online only. Can be given a quick death if it works out naf I guess. Though Torchwood did find itself near the end with some proper sci-fi stories. Though Stars kinda bungled the last series, it was quite interesting concept.

She's just not hugely keen on her, finds her annoying and not much growth.

Personally I find she's the most recent in string of companions that're "destined" for stuff which happens in first series then never comes up much again e.g:

Rose - Badwolf (though that does crop up again)

Amy - Cracks/Silence

Clara - Impossible Girl

Ideally she'd have jumped in his timestream and that'd be it she'd be gone to maybe pop up as other versions of herself down the line. Personally I wish they'd just have companions being companions instead of tied in with prophetic mumbo jumbo (current being "the hybrid").

BBC posted about it other month so yeah she's leaving this series:

She's generally adamant she'll be hanging out with him forever so I doubt it'll be a semi-mutual break up like Martha/Donna but more of a forced separation like Ponds/Rose. Though unlikely to be a death since we're kinda pushing a "death isn't working right" theme in this one.
