RadiantViper
Is it possible to get rid of the option that automatically makes YouTube links display as media? I wanted to link to a bunch of songs in a post in the game soundtracks thread, but I can only link two at a time before the board tells me I'm linking too many media files. Hmm? I posted in that thread and I was able to link a bunch of different Youtube videos.
Mister Jack
One more question about the mobile site and then I'll leave you alone. Is there a way to view the status updates that you or others post? As well as the replies?
deanb
Heartless did you try linking them with the Add Link button?
Faiblesse Des Sens
The Firefox spellchecker works just fine for me. Are you using an up-to-date version of the browser? As for the media option, I think that might be the default limit for any kind of videos linked in posts. I'll look around in the ACP and see if I can make it 5+ or something. I'm on FF4b7. Heartless did you try linking them with the Add Link button? Okay, that worked. I was just dropping the links in and they were being picked up as media files automatically. deanb
Yeah forum has a few fancy tricks up it's sleeves that I guess can sometimes be annoying. It's meant to automatic turn images into img embeds too. For some reason that doesn't work.
iLjaG
Has the ability to appear offline been removed for any particular reason? I am investigating and will get back to you. Did we ever get any feedback on this?
deanb
We don't know. Probably something on your end since there's several folks on at the moment who are invisible. edit: Also is it just me or has the Status box gotten wider? Is there a way to view the status updates that you or others post? As well as the replies? On the mobile skin, in the upper right corner, there's a little arrow looking thing. Click on that and a box will appear, from there you can hit Status Updates.
Mister Jack
Hey Tali, I'm a fucking liar. Is it possible to show when a forum post is made from a mobile device? I tend to make shorter posts when I'm on my device and I don't want to seem dismissive when I reply to people.

deanb
You could type "From my iPhone" on the bottom of your comment? From my PC
Mudkip3DS
Augh! Tali's new avatar stare scares me… As for you, Dean, GIFs play (much) faster in Firefox than they do in WebKit-based browsers, so unless you're using Firefox right now, your eyes are probably being deceived and there's actually no difference. deanb
Nope I'm on Chrome as usual. And my eyes are not deceived. It was Tali's sig that tipped me off cos that middle dudes head was originally relaxed stoned type head rolling. Now I'm waiting for it to go flying off. Heartless
Haha, I just mean maybe a little phone icon or something? I dunno...I hate feeling like I'm giving an answer that's half of what I'd normally write, but it's not really a huge deal.
deanb
Well maybe a phone emoticon. Just add to a post n voila. Sent from my android.

deanb
I was sure I left a response here last night to Clown saying I was sure it was just on my end as you'd said earlier. Anywho I'd thought I'd figured out what was doing it (GPU rendering for chrome in the dev channel build) but it turns out that was just the thing making java images go black (Yeah couldn't see crap all of the Wordpress stats or google image search ) But now they're fixed the emoticons still aren't. Btw it's the bunny ones and only the bunny ones. The regular emoticons are fine. O h n the horny one too.
Heartless
The problem with adding the "feature" being described is that it would end up detecting everyone's OS and tacking it onto a post. Not only would some users not want to share this kind of information in every single post that they make, but it would get really annoying really fast. I could see it being resource-intensive on the server. Even if there are more elegant or selective ways of incorporating something like that, I'm just not motivated to spend the amount of time it would require to research and write it. Yeah it's definitely not worth all the sheet for the one little feature. Also, is so baller. Thanks! Sent from the office.
TheMightyEthan
Can users see their own warning level? If not, is there a way to make it so they can? I don't think they necessarily need to be able to see everyone's warning level, but it would be helpful I think if they could see their own.
