WTF
I know, which is kind of a shame. It had it's flaws but you're right. Ff13 left a sour taste for some. Not to mention the game didn't play like a conventional rpg and people took offence at his ugliness and of course Kaine. Loved the side quest banter and status messages it put up when you fished and stuff.
Cyber Rat
I think I played maybe a total of 8 hours of it at a friend's place (don't own a console myself). I really enjoyed the characters, music and atmosphere. If I ever get a PS3, it's on the top of my list of games to get.

staySICK
I liked Too Human okay but it was a flawed game. I still took the time to beat it.   Too Human is a weird one. When it was good it was pretty fun, but most of the time it was just terrible. I did feel oddly compelled to finish it though. Wouldn't have paid more than the £9 I did.   I really liked it; it reminded me of a decently done console diablo.  the only thing I remember that I could do without was the death animation over and over and over  mad that the end of the game ended on such a high note, was amped for a sequel that will probably never happen. CorgiShinobi
Other M Forget the story. The game was classic metroid. Btw I hated prime. WHAT?! Â Now I know three people who have a distaste for Prime. Â I still haven't finished Other M. I wouldn't say Other M is truly "classic" Metroid as the gameplay changes how you interact with enemies, and the design of your upgrades/expansions is different. I don't hate it, and I tend to take issue when people go off on Samus's character. Just, it never motivated me to really continue and complete the entire thing. I'm close, but I stopped. Â The characterization and story was poorly executed, but Samus wasn't destroyed. Probably the reason for so much hatred is because, with Samus being a silent protagonist for so long, people began supplementing their own ideas on Samus's character. Usually, I point people in the direction of the official Metroid manga that explains Samus's origin. Â I still keep a GIF I made showing people probably the more tragic moment in the story. (It's animated) Â

WTF
Â Now I know three people who have a distaste for Prime. Â Â Â Prime just didn't transition the series well and I've been playing metroid since I played the first game in 1988 and I felt Other M was pretty much 2.5Dish metroid which is what I was hoping Prime would be before it was released. In fact Metroid is probably the only franchise by Nintendo that I enjoy outside of Paper Mario and Fire Emblem. Â And you're right the story isn't wrong, it's just the execution was wrong. I mean it's like well we have two executions of the wickerman one was good and the other was so bad that it was good. Problem is Other M is a bit iffy middling storywise but the gameplay, that made up for it for me anyways. Personally Metroid 2 and Super Metroid were my favourite ones. Mercurial
People like ME3 just not the ending.
Vecha
Two Worlds. Â Just enjoyed the combat. Laughed at the story and characters...and only face a couple of crashes...nothing game breaking. Â Still playing Two Worlds II off and on. Â I love my "crappy" WRPGs just as much as my "zanny" JRPGs.
Strangelove
Enslaved. Yeah, the gameplay is a little too simple and a little wonky, but everything else the game did, it did it damn well. I even liked the ending too. Â AC Revelations. Too similar to the past AC games? Yeah. Milking? I guess. Stupid rts minigame? Yes it was. Did it suck? No. I personally love the way AC games play aside from AC1. More of the same didnt bother me, especially with Revelations. The best new thing Revelations did wasnt the new city or the rts thing, but the Uncharted type interactive cutscenes. They were great. Ubisoft does it well. A lot of games since Uncharted 2 have tried to copy it, but they always half ass it. Revelations knew what was up though. Â Alice: Madness Returns. Its a bit too long, but the gameplay is solid. The fact that it feels alot like a PS2 platformer is either a good thing or a bad thing to some, to me its a good thing. Its very basic and stripped down, but what it does it does it well. Lots of collectibles, short cutscenes, minimal story, and lots of jumping. Good stuff. Edited July 4, 2012 by Strangelove
madbassman39
It seems more and more people seem to hate skyrim and insult those that do like it, but its my game of the year. Also I like the enter the matrix with all of its terrible writing and graphics and every thing

The world would be a boring fucking place if we all played the same games.
fuchikoma
Deadly Premonition. I think I probably learned of it from hearing Shane Bettenhausen rant about its zaniness on a podcast. I would have completely avoided it otherwise - it's a crudely made survival horror game - but the characters are such weirdos, especially the protagonist. There are all sorts of weird little things too, like if you go too long without washing or changing your outfit, you'll be swarmed by bugs... It's been too long since I played; I can't remember many more crazy features, but it's way more entertaining than it seems at first. If I could change anything... I'd just add a minimap or navigation system because looking at a small piece of a big map and then hitting the highway for several minutes in a wonky go-kart steering car just isn't good.

This...I loved the zanniness(not a word?) but I couldn't play more than 2 hours of the game due to the driving. Â If I want to get lost in a car...I'll do that in the real world. Alex Heat
The world would be a boring fucking place if we all played the same games. Â But we'd have Alpha Protocol 2 by now!
